i have a gig of ram here on my alpha. the only thing that have helped me was to change size_t to u_int32_t in cache.c and size_t to 'unsigned int' in cachelogd.c. however the size is a 64bit related problem with the alpha. but with those changes and splitting in smaller increments, i keep it
