Anyone still looking/interested in getting an 'official' docker
container image for LMS.
I continue to use DOliana's regularly updated 7.9.2 container on my RPi.
This appears to be fairly regularly updated - I noticed it had been
updated about a month ago to included ffmpeg and pulseaudio
Thanks. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Sure it is a NAS. The hardware of the NAS has nothing to do with the
definition.
There could even be a bunch of hamsters on Speed and coffeine typing the
bits and bytes on a typewriter with nearly lightspeed.

I have a 1Tb WD My Passport drive (Ext4 formatted) that lights up but
doesn't seem to be discovered by the Pi3B. At least, it doesn't show up
in the USB drive section of the pCP LMS tab...have I forgotten to do
something? I'm reluctant to buy a larger capacity drive that will also
not be

ISTR that you simply list them all in the config file and the underlying
networking stuff will try to find one that works.
Maybe putting the car one first will help.

Thanks. I wish it was that simple. One server is in my car and the other
in the house. The one in the car is set up as an access point. Although
it wouldn't be for long, both networks would be active in the same space
occasionally. I'm trying to use a player with a pirate board to control
the
I've used several different 2TB to 4TB WD My Passport, selfpowered (USB
powered) portable HDs with both rPi3B+ and rPi4B setups. Never had any
issue. Some have reported problems with rPi4B ver 1, with drive plugged
into the USB3.0 slots on the rPi. I've not had that issue, but my
rPi4B's are
Two networks in different distinct locations?
Just give each network the same SSID and network parameters, eg.
NETWORK with 192.168.0.1 - 256, same password.
LMS server: O2 Joggler with Jivelite, Pi Zero W with PcP 6.0
Amp: Denon PMA-50
Players/Speakers: Touch, Logitech Radios, Sonos
Is a way to set up piCorePlayer to switch between available networks
without using the UI? I'd like to use one pCP 'player' on two distinct
networks in two distinct locations.

I'm sorry but I can't spend more time on this now.
I have to hack about and do searches as I have never used Dietpi, at
all. It's far to "clever" for me.
If you have a spare card, why not try Buster-Lite and add LXDE to that,
(or do you specically need DietPI ?).
I mostly run the Buster
When I did the install I had to add build-essential to the list of stuff
to install as it would not "make"
I did it as dietpi
If you did it as root then, from the root homescreen, open a terminal
and type
Code:
./jivelite/bin/jivelite
Recently I've been using a Raspberry Pi 3 (with pCP 6.1.0, LMS 8.0) and
a WD Passport Wireless hard disk drive as a backup server. The WD device
has a battery on board which seems to help it work via USB power, but
unfortunately it appears to have given up the ghost.
I have tried using an old
Wonder if it could be that I'm logging in as "root" with my autostart of
the LXDE desktop that's the problem? My main "jivelite" folder ended up
under /root/ .., not sure if that's correct, don't think it's the real
root? Maybe I should login as "DietPi" and try the install again?

LoL :-D. Ok fair enough but I'm sure you know more about these things
than me.

Sorry it's a large file
I started jivelite with
Code:
sudo /home/dietpi/jivelite/bin/jivelite
I don't have a proper desktop, Dietpi is a bit alien to me installed on
rpi4b

Hi, been reading this threads and a lots of other ones hoping to find an
answer of how to install Jivelite an a Rpi3B+ with DietPi. Have also
installed LXDE desktop along with Squeezelite which was no problem. New
to the wonderful world of Linux. For trying to install Jivelite I
followed "man in
A couple of things that I tried before but have just confirmed.
You can't set date quite to epoch, 1970-01-03 is OK. If you try to set
the earliest date in epoch seconds, you will find it actually changes.
