Instead of killing your WiFi, why don't you use the Cron job function in
Tweaks to shutdown and restart their pi at the times you need?

Would this senario be possible:
A small usb drive permanently attached to the pi and when the picore is
instructed to update, it does so but stores the new update on the usb
drive along with the update script and then reboots the pi from the

Pwz are you using the latest image from Rippi, the original had his Mac
hard coded so would only ever show stopped. Rippi, I'm afraid my python
skills are as bad as my German. Come on guys, help Rippi after all he's
done for us! ;)
If you're using a Windows box then use the image in the second hyperlink
of Rippi's post (35) works a treat.

Yup, pin 16 on the lcd goes to gpio 17 on the pi via a 50 ohm resistor
and pin 15 on the lcd to pin 1 5v

I have a feeling my linux nobbishness is the thing holding me back.
I've sudo vi bootlocal.sh and used 'o' to insert the line then ':x' to
save it.
I've then sudo filetool.sh b and it still disappears.
I feel I'm so close guys what am I doing wrong?
