Yup it does Greg but it can't go to 3.10 without burning a fresh image
on to the sd card.
But if the pi had secondary storage space either a flash drive or
network location.
Couldn't it, at least in theory, download the full update to that and
launch from there temporarily to go from 1.9 say to 3.10 without
touching an sd card?
Due to how wonderful this piece of software is (trust me, I've used them
all), some pi's have clearly been deployed in remote headless locations,
given the inaccessibility of these pi's who never feel the cool breeze
of day ( sad, in'it?)

Sorry Greg, I'm not looking to increase folks work load, you all do an
amazing job keeping Squeeze alive and real.
