Well after all that (sock) darning.
I went back a step or two.
When my Kitchen Pi3b+ updated to pCPv8.2 it lost the ability to connect
to Wlan - despite many attempts. So this morning downloaded v8.0 and
started a new card. That worked eventually.
So downloaded v8.1 which has Pi Zero 2W suppor

Is it in a metal case ?
How did you attatch the gpio pin header ?
I ask because the wireless antenna
a) may have been damaged
b) is performance restricted because of the casing.
If bought second hand then the previous owner may have damaged the
board.
If new then

I haven't seen a wifi network like yours before. New technology?
I'll just post a few things hoping someone can chime in.

Found my RPi0W.
I just did a fresh pCP 8.2.0 (32bit) build on a RPi0W using wifi and
HDMI.
All went according to plan.
Even http://pcp.local works.

Yes - bonjour - but in theory not needed with modern versions of Windows
10 as seems to be the case for you given that others work.
Another idea
which wont be right if it worked on same RPi and same AP
with Raspberry Pi OS
perhaps the UDP broadcast not going through the
WIFi AP.

In theory, piCorePlayer should handle different formatted text files.
pCP changes the EOL markers and just reads the ssid and password and
creates a fresh config file.
But there is always a chance that there is some combination not
accounted for??

Modern Windows Notepad can preserve line endings but I dont think it
offers a save as choice.
So if you start from a fresh file in Windows Notepad then it has Windows
line endings.
However, if your RPi is getting a reachable IP address then it is
working.
If pcp.local is not working (and you

Notepad on Windows is not a good idea for a text file that is going to
be read on a Linux system.
Easy way to verify
use NotepadPlusPlus (open source) and tell it to
save with Unix line endings

It doesn't happen on my system. I guess its a function of your DHCP
settings. My IP addresses remain fairly consistent until there is a
power failure.

Hi Alan0,
When you have "# Maintained by piCorePlayer" in your wpa_supplicant.conf
initially on your boot partition, pCP just reads your SSID and password
and creates a new wpa_supplicant.conf. So as long as you get the ssid=
and psk= lines correct it should work. We do this because we assume mo
