Castalla,
I tried but I couldn't reproduce this, so that's why I asked for you to
send me one of your mp3 files. I see what you mean about the elapsed
time jumping back at the end of the track, when there isn't a next track
to play, but I'm not getting any unwanted noise at the end of the track

Well, that's interesting You are using the Amanero, right. Still OK
at high bits rates? (With a few hacks, I could kind of get it to be
mostly glitch free = 96k, but any higher and the drop-outs were
severe.) Have you tried 192k and 384k? Still good?

Is there any way I could install the same LMS as you - the 258 version.
The 258 version is the latest version in the testing repo, which i
thought you had already installed on Cubie?

Ooops! Yes, I had that - that's the version where I initially got the

I just put a new set of music files on the system. Guess what? Plays

I'm going to put the 'offending' files back - and see what

Do you know of any other way around this?

Not sure - I've just noticed that the 'noisy' tracks have bitrate set as
VBR. All my other tracks have CBR.
Possible?
Thought I'd do some quick tests again...
Running Amanero with -a 60:4:32:1 and playing my 192k track and all
seems fine, no glitches or dropouts that I can make out. This with the
RPi on a wired network with SBS running on a separate Fedora server.
I will keep it running with the small

Anything is possible! ;) I vaguely remember a few years ago, pulling a
couple of mp3 tracks off a loaned portable player. Those tracks had
completely screwed-up tags at the end of the file. Can't remember what
software on the PC I was using to play them at the time,

I have thousands of mp3 VBR tracks. So there could be something odd with
some particular tracks, but there is certainly no problem with LMS
playing VBR mp3

Not me! I've just been lucky enough to find other peoples experiences

I played the same noisy track on my SB Radio - no noise.

Clive,
Today for the first time ever since I have been using the RC3, the

NB. The bad CRC can be ignored. It will always do that. (ie. it's not
specific to CSOS.) Wouldn't have had anything to do with your real issue
(power supply) anyway.
