Hi,
i recently switched from Max2Play to picorePlayer (3.11 audio) on my Pi3
running both the LMS and squeezelite with jivelite visualisation.
I would like to use SaverSwitcher bur i find no way configuring it. Is
it still working on recent pCP ? All i found about SaverSwitcher is
quite old.
No good news.
Capacitor in between DAC and display power did not work at all (DAC gave
no output). Removed it, got audio again, but with the above described
issue.
Then I put several capacitors at the 5V power input of the Raspberry Pi.
No change.
How is separate powering of the display done?
Ok, thnx

At a very simplistic level, alsa is at the kernel level and handles the
low level communication to the hardware. Pulse audio sits above alsa,
and can handle input from multiple sources.

Eh, what is pulsaudio?

OK, got it. Yes, I have in fact seen this symbol. Never thought about it
very much. Now, I know more.
I will place a stabilizing 220µF capacitor within the power connection
between DAC and display and then look how it works. Because this is
quite easy to implement.
If that works,

Hum I think I broke something, pCP via web gui has become unresponsive.
Let me start over and see what we get.

Paul thanks for the quick response.
Remote device is a Synology NAS that does not reboot.
I tried both CIFS with auth & NFS with no auth and have the same
results.
I've been using the same share across several other systems

Well, of course I could power the touchscreen separately. Just have to
figure out how to do it.
Another idea: Insert a large Electrolyte capacitor at the output of the
5V supply. How do you think about that?
What is this lightening bolt?
A power supply can be putting out proper voltage, but creating noise.
I suspect certain DACs are more prone to noisy power supplies. I have
all kinds of setups running for debugging.I have some that always
run with the lightening bolt.yet they never lock/ crash.
Do you have a way to
I initially had the "official" Raspberry Pi 2.5A supply.
Already suspected the power supply (especially now with touchscreen
attached) and bought a 3A supply (noname).
Unfortunately, the problem still occurred.
Should I nevertheless try the CanaKit one?

What is the remote device? Is it rebooting too.

Hi guys,
I have an issue with pCP 3.20 (normal) on RasPi 3 Model B, an iQAudio
DAC+ and official 7'' touchscreen + JiveLite.
Sometimes (regularly, but not any time), the DAC crashes after having
switched off the player and on again. No audio output any more. LMS and
Squeezelite seem to be
Hi,
I'd like to experiment with a compression plugin, I understand the one
in the LADSPA Caps collection would be a candidate, since Caps is also
used for Equal.
I started my usual monkey see-monkey do routine regarding alsa.conf with
something like that:
Code:
Hi guys,
I have an issue with pCP 3.2 (normal) on RasPi 3 Model B, an iQAudio
DAC+ and official 7'' touchscreen + JiveLite.
Sometimes (regularly, but not any time), the DAC crashes after having
switched off the player and on again. No audio output any more.
If this happens, I can only fix it
