If you can play music it is already connected to LMS, so why try to
reconnect?
Are you swapping from wired to wifi?
As it only takes a couple of minutes to make a new SD card I'd start
fresh.

You should upgrade to the latest pCP a lot has changed from pCP 4.1. I
think Paul did put some checks re: LMS and setting the time recently.
I can't see why you should be resetting settings. It should really just
be a matter of booting things in the right order.

Two thing come to mind.
LMS remembers squeezlite instances according to MAC address and it will
forget old ones after a while. So you will get 2 instances of the same
player occurring for a short period.

The Players Tabs are generated thru squeezelite, so turn off squeezelite
the tabs will disappear. This was written before we had LMS running on

By chance, does typing $ pcp d0 do anything? (debug off)
I had different but similar messages and this fixed it on the pCP I am
working on. I often turn debug on in a script when testing and
occassionally it gets into production by error.

I use a JustBoom DAC all the time, so I know it works.
1. Fresh Sd card
2. Select JustBoom DAC/AMP (and Zero/AMP)
3. Press Save.
4. Reboot.
It should be a really simple process.
If you are still having a problem, try without 7" screen.

You can't set date quite to epoch, 1970-01-03 is OK. If you try to set
the earliest date in epoch seconds, you will find it actually changes.

I've been using 2 RPi4B's since their release, can't remember one
occasion when the date wasn't set. So we need to find what's out the
different with your RPi4B.
If you reboot, and the problem is still there, the cron job will only
fix the problem once it runs.

I think, if you are using a RPi4 then you need to change the 4th option
in "ALSA setting" from a 1 to a 0.
This turn mmap off.

If you feel pCP is getting in the way of LMS, just dump pCP and install
LMS directly on another OS like you used to do. Removing one layer that
is not really required, may make things easier to manage in your case.

In pCP 6.0.0 the web interface was moved from /home/tc/www/ to /var/www/
and some of the scripts had to move as well. These means some older
documentation will be out of date.
As you found out, because pCP is mainly RAM based, you need to backup
changes to make them persistent.

to use wifi for LMS. If I understand you correctly, you have mounted
your NAS via wifi?
In the past, having 2 wifi hops during playback was asking for problems,

I just downloaded it OK here. It might have been a momentary issue with
the server. You could also try the pCP extensions mirror server.
BTW: I have never needed iw.tcz during the development of wifi on
piCorePlayer. There are lots of overlapping wifi tools.

Yeah, most of the documentation/help systems I have been involved with
used Microsoft Word or html as source. Most people don't format word
consistently enough. Even in a controlled commercial environment where
the authors were required to use styles sheet, formatting issues creep
