I must admit it did turn out better than I was expecting.
The prerecording of the demos/lessons/walk throughs is an excellent idea.
Now if it is only taken to the next step.
1. Have a script.
2. Use the script
3. Use a proper microphone (headset one will do)
4. Edit the thing to remove superfluous

Although you still have to wait until the very end of the webinarjam (not
the YouTube link), you can select and copy the chat comments. Yes, they
are actual TEXT, not part of the video.

Didn't know about being able to see comments while watching webinars.
I simply clicked on the YouTube badge to go to the YouTube version and download
it.
Scrubbing a local file in VLC is so easy.
So it would be nice if the text from the webinars could be provided though.

I suspect that "jumping to the good parts" is a major feature for some. I keep
getting these ads that promise me very valuable, revealing, even shocking
information, but I have to listen to 15 minutes of intro crap, then a pitch for
a purchase. Needless to say, I don't waste time on it.

So I wrote to Webinarjam suggesting that the addition of a scrub bar on the
playback video would be an immense improvement in user experience.
Adam from Webinarjam promptly replied:

I agree. Even though I am in Scotland (in fact, in Edinburgh) other
circumstances would have prevented me from attending in person - so the
ability to (almost immediately) use the replay of the webinar is really
great - and the quality of the recording is so much better than we've
seen in previ
I hope this is the new paradigm, because it is such a cool idea and a cool

I could not afford to travel to Scotland right now, so the virtual meeting was

While it is fun to hang out with other Livecoders, and to go out carousing
with the staff, it is definitely nice to be able to watch remotely. We can
still interact with each other, we can still ask questions and start new
discussions... being an independent developer who can barely pay the bills,
Yes I also thought it was great for all the reasons others have mentioned :)
I was lucky enough to have some other LiveCoders here and we watched (some of
the sessions) together - but I also do miss the chatting with bigger crowds of
LiveCoders
See you all at the next one!

having to choose a channel to watch. Watching later just fell through the
