Concerning changing the name of objects: Since we get to have both
names and labels on objects in Revolution, I like to leave the name
unchanged -- play/pause or some such -- and change the label to show
the state of the button.

I have seen some serious wonkiness before in the message box handling
of expressions. I remember I had to put an expression involving arrays
into a handler in the stack I was working on and invoke that to
evaluate it correctly; I was quite

you think I am a curmudgeon, the bottom line is that I was able to
get done what I needed in Rev. I love working with Rev. I just want the
docs to be accurate, and for us to find a better way of creating a
Knowledge Base for using Rev than we have so far. Sorry for a rambling
rant.

If you're just plotting x-y data, it is very fast to set the points of
a polygon to the scaled data. I just plotted a sine wave 300 pixels
wide and the response to adjusting the amplitude with a slider is
virtually instantaneous.
