First the config files should be changed and then created the database.

1.   /etc/my.cnf.d/server.cnf

[mysqld]

...

innodb_file_per_table(this option is not relatated to discussed question)

skip-character-set-client-handshake

collation-server=utf8_unicode_ci

character-set-server=utf8

2.   /etc/my.cnf.d/server.cnf/client.cnf

[client]

default-character-set = utf8

3.   systemctl restart mariadb.service

4.   enter into mariadb management interface

5.CREATE DATABASE db_name DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE 
utf8_general_ci;

6.   GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON db_name.* TO 'om_admin'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED 
BY 'om_admin_pass' WITH GRANT OPTION;

7.   Flush privileges;

8.   quit; (from mariadb management interface) 

9.   Then install Openmeetings……

there is no problem with characters until you restart the red5-2 service.

So you have noticed Camera is a little bit behind sound ...
I believe you can play with Admin->Config flash.echoPath parameter
It might add delay to perform better echo suppression

 it up once
 So open the settings, choose correct devises, press Save

 According to port availability you need to check detailed results: push
 small "Copy" button on the right, Paste result to some text file and check
 what is wrong

I also thought I just need to set the Camera/Microphone once and it will
automatically start. This is the case in OM3.3.

but I cannot see the video after that.

how can I hide the camera-picture?
At the beginning I want to show the camera-picture to say welcome.
Later I want to hide the camera-picture and show the Whiteboard.

But: When I disable the cam the client see the stylized human-symbol 
with the question mark.

When I disable the cam into the settings too.

How I can  hide the cam-window?

Hello,

today I have a look to the sync of camera-picture and the sound of the 
microphone.
I know, it is a difficult issue, so I take my USB-microphone-adapter who 
is a good choice for

the Karaoke-Program I use. (Ultrastar, who knows.)

OK, the sound is a little time (I think a quarter of a second) too early.
(Just the opposite of my expectation.)

Now I want to delay the sound. Is this possible?
