To me, the admin should have the option to allow or disallow, the user from
making changes to the display name. There may be circumstances in which it
may be appropriate and in other situations, definitely not wanted.

Hi Alvarez, Thanks much for the openmeetings 4.0.6 iso.
I have installed the iso on a virtual machine. The webcam and microphone
are connected to the virtual machine.
The browser (firefox) is recognising the webcam and microphone and i am
allowing their use. I can see the webcam light come on,

Hi All,
I have been trying to register an account to test the OM5 demo.
I am receiving the message that i am successfully registered and an email
with activation code has been sent to my email.
No email is received. I have been checking the spam folder as well.
And i have been unable to login.
How would it work for configurations in which the user is not allowed
to self-register and user accounts are created by an Administrator?

I am also sure that I saw it before. Now that I am creating a room, I
am looking for where I can password protect the room.
The intent is that apart from logging into openmeetings, users at a
particular meeting would have a room password to enter.
Isn't that one of the features?
I wish to replace the links found under Help and Support, on the
dashboard with mine own.
I have done edits to the texts in the Administration-->Language
Editor. While the texts have changed, the links to which they point
are unchanged. Where do I find those links for editting?
Thanks!
I am curious as to how in the openmeetings demo, port 5080 was hidden
in the URL.
I wish to accomplish the same thing.
Any advise would be appreciated.

I have installed OpenMeetings 4.0.2 on Ubuntu 17.10.
When I attempt to upload a powerpoint file, I am receiving the
message, "There have been errors while processing the file".
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

In a previous enquiry concerning my inability to locate in
openmeetings, the dropdown choices: audio + video, audio only, video
only - I was informed that they were re-organised and each audio and
video can be disabled.
I am new to openmeetings, so your further help would be appreciated.
