Sanjeev,
That will only work if the Guest traffic and Management traffic share the same
NICs, if they are on different NICs (controlled by the traffic labels) simply
setting the same VLAN ID will not be enough.

Yes if Guest and Management traffic are on the different NIC we have to give
traffic labels while creating physical networks.

Lets put steps so that we are in same page:
1. When we deploy a VM, we use get_template function which basically retrieves
the template information matching the description you provided under services
class for ostype under test module EX: test_loadbalance.py. I am surprised

Hi everyone,
I am currently building a test environment comprised of:
- Cloudstack version 4.2.0
- Citrix XenServer 6.2.0 (free trial version from store.citrix.com)
The final purpose is to create an advanced zone with GRE isolation.
I have been running into a number of problems and finally
Quick question,
We deployed two management servers for CloudStack, and they are behind a
load balancer to be able to use them in active-active. What about the
usage service? Does it need to run only on one node or both?
Thanks!

It needs to run only on one node - but I don't think there are any
deleterious effects (aside from wasted CPU cycles) from having more
than one.

You can’t resize the “root” disk as of now. A data disk can be resized.
Shouldn't be any issue with that.

If you need to, I believe you can resize the Root Volume on the Hypervisor, but
obviously this will have be completed by Admins with Hypervisor access, and not
normal users.

Hi,
I’ve spent a fair bit of lab time trying to get GRE tunnelling working in
CloudStack 4.2.1 / Xenserver 6.1 but have had no luck so far.
As per various posts, documents and wiki articles I’ve got:
- Xenserver 6.1 cluster with all patches, CloudStack 4.2.1 installed from RPMs
(CentOS 6.5).
Hi all,

Thanks in advance!
Motty,
What does your system look like?
Is it single management server, or Multi management server?
Basic or Advanced Networking?
Hypervisor type?
Was the SSVM previously working or is this a new build?

I apologize for not being specific,
is advance networking setup, hypervisor KVM. Management server is installed
on a separate physical machine than the database and two KVM hypervisors in
all four machines
is a new setup, I have not being able to download ISOs successfully because
of this
How have you configured the networking on your hypervisors?
What are your Bridges called?
How many NICs?
What KVM Traffic Labels have you used?
Just heading off to the land of Nod, but will review in the morning (unless
someone else does first)

Hi Dag,
I updated GRE modules to make it work fine with XenServer and XCP during
the summer. It now appears on master branch. Maybe it will added to future
releases.
Will looking into your issue to find out the problem.
