OK, we'll see if anyone else needs the old packages. Because this is open
source, anyone, even you, can become the supplier of such a package.
Convenience binaries are not official Apache releases, only the source
package is, because there is no easy way to certify the contents of
binaries.

Well I'm not complaining (okay, I suppose I was a little), but there are
probably cases where Maven/Ant aren't being used (Gradle?), although Ant is
fairly universal. There are definitely cases where these tools cannot connect

Do you mean a package of files similar to how Adobe shipped BlazeDS? I
think we thought just about every BlazeDS user was using Maven. Anyone

Since I'm not a CF expert, I fell for what far too many people often fall for

Gotcha... so if we go that route, we'd have to set aside some time for the
initial build. Using JSON doesn't win us anything since it'll introduce other
work anyway.
Yes it seems like most everyone uses GAS3 for POJO generation now.

The initial setup took a while becuse of all the trial and error. Once we
got a prototype running end to end, it became easy after that.
I forgot to mention that we are using GraniteDS
onses.

but his own lists don't have flash remoting anywhere unless he thinks flash

Do you recall how long it took to build this? It sounds awesome.

ah i see. thanks.
Oh yes, I was putting some REST/SOAP related highlights together with what this

Which, to be honest, has the stink of an anti-Flash bias, so probably isn't

We still use AMF. By the release notes it looks like they shifted CF towards
REST/SOAP. REST is fine, but it doesn't seem smart abandoning technologies
which still arguably work better than the alternatives, especially when
supporting both should be easy enough.
Oh there's definitely interest, especially if it can be done with dependency
injection. But if I get involved with anything it would probably be Judah's
Radii8 design view replacement project first.

I have couple of apps running REST services which serve AMF responses.
Works exceedingly well!
If there is interest, someone can help implement that in BlazeDS.

Hi There,
I have been doing Flash Remoting with ColdFusion since ColdFusion 6 &
Flash version 6 or was it version 7. ColdFusion always had Flash
Remoting available to it, and ColdFusion even starting having a strong
integration with Flash.
I am still using this today, but I don't know what is g
What's the current status of the AMF libs? Are Flex devs abandoning them in
favor of more generic options like web services? Granite's website isn't
working correctly and I noticed that Apache doesn't do convenience binaries for
