Hi :) On the left hand side of Synaptic is a panel that allows you to restrict the list of packages to specific categories. By default it is set on All but then gives options such as Amateur Radio, Base, Communications, scroll down the long list to see a few categories for Word Processor.

I was able to extract the files using an old version of WinZip. Do we know anything about how LO processes DOCX files? I suspect that when it opens the file, it scans the first N bytes looking for somekind of signature that it is not finding in the file created by Mobi OfficeSuite. Dennis E.
