Hi,
as i've already seen for people in other posts, i get out of memory
for bearerbox.
My version is 1.4.0.
I've 7 SMSc (emi) connections and 3 modems ( siemens tc35i ).
We usually send and receive many thousands of messages per day and,
beside a little memory leak, everything goes fine.
But
Did you use checking malloc or configure flag with-defaults=debug

I downloaded gateway-1.4.0.tar.gz and compiled it without options.
We use SuSE 9.2 pro with kernel 2.6.8-24.17 and have this problem since
we installed kannel 1.4 on kernel 2.6.
Before this we used kannel 1.2 on 2.4 kernel , we haven't tried 1.4 on 2.4.
Ok, Maybe too much update. :-)
Hi,
Looking for help with sending ota messages using kannel 1.4.0
Trying to send a service configuratyion message to a Nokia 6230 phone.
See nothing appear on the phone - maybe because the phone does not
recognise the message ?
Log files shown below - any ideas on how to debug this
Try to set:
enable-hwhs = AT\\Q3 in your group=modems.
This is the configuration parameter that needs to be set in your
kannel.conf. Just the value of it (AT\\Q3) may be different for the Nokia.
Double check the Nokia AT reference guide for more info.

Hello Egon
Have a look at the doc/examples directory there you will find the
kannel.conf file, you can copy it to /etc/kannel or the directory that you
want
Also have a look to the utils directory there you will find kannel-init.d
file that you should modify and put under init.d directory
Best
Egon,
Here is a sample kannel.conf with a bearerbox and smsbox (no wap box)
using a GSM as a AT SMSC. Maybe there is some non-useful configuration
instruction, but it work. Every sms received call 'dispatch.php' who
enter the informations in a DB.
kannel.conf:
include = /etc/kannel/modems.conf
George,
You can:
1. Set enable-hwhs = ... or enable-hwhs=AT... This might or might not
work but it's worth a try.
2. Look up the correct setting at the Nokia AT Guide. You can find it at
the Nokia website.
3. Change the SIM cards of the 9110 9220 :)
