Hi,
If by binding you mean connect, there is currently limited live support using
the HTTP admin interface. You can start/stop SMScs that already exist in the
configuration file. Alejandro Guerrieri is working on a more versatile patch
that will update the configuration file for smscs on the

Hi,
The only thing I can think in a hurry, with respect to issue #1, it seems that
kannel objects to your name variable. I would try changing name to a single
letter, i.e. A or B, max 2 bytes and retry. Or increase length to 5.
Sorry, I don't have the time to help with the rest.

To clarify, the current CVS already has my patch in place (well, most of it,
there's still a part that needs to be properly reviewed and applied, but
what I'm explaining below does work already).
1. start-smsc will reload the configuration of an _existing_ smsc from disk
and restart it
2.
Hi,
I'm trying to use kannel to send sms with an smpp client, this is my
configuration file:
group = core
admin-port = 1
smsbox-port = 10001
admin-password = bar
admin-allow-ip =*.*.*.*
#admin-deny-ip = *.*.*.*
#admin-allow-ip = 127.0.0.1
log-file = bench_sms_bb.log
Hi Alejandro,
Can you please look at the email I sent earlier when you get some time?
Thanks

Hi Elvis,
I also use Wavecom Fastrack Supreme and after much trial and errors with the
setting i discoved that the default settings works just fine for us. Below
is an extract from our config.
group = modems
id = WAVECOM
name = WAVECOM
detect-string = WAVECOM
Hi,
Just a note to avoid confusion. In the cvs modems.conf id, wavecom is in lower
case:
group = modems
id = wavecom
name = Wavecom
detect-string = WAVECOM
Therefore if working with that, modemtype in group smsc should also be:
modemtype = wavecom
as well.

Nikos
