Hi,
I have made my kannel to process the message and call a servlet url, but
when i send bulk sms to this modem i get 10 prompt replies , but after that
i get could not fetch content and that too after 5 or 10 minutes.
I am calling netbeans servlet.

Hi Nikos
Thanks for your response.
Ok I understand now. I have changed them both to transceiver mode however
I have still had the problem a couple of times today.
I checked the store-status at the time and the messages in there had no
SMSC ID or BOX ID.
Does that help you any further?
Hi,
This seems to be a different problem. Start a new thread, post fresh logs
and the output from store-status. Restarting smsc or bb won't fix this.

Nikos

Hi Nikos
It is the same problem that I have been having all along.
And restarting bb does fix it as all the messages get sent to the correct
SMSC.
However if you would like me to start a new thread with new logs next time
I can do that.
Thanks
Brent

You never explained that your SMS didn't have SMScID or boxid.
Transceiver-mode then is not of any use. Just post the store status with the
culprits and explain the problem clearly. If fresh logs can show something
different, they are wellcome, too, otherwise don't bother.

Hi,
Is there a problem with SQLBOX connecting to a mysql db using host =
something.db.com?
It seems to fail to connect.

Hi,
You have not done your homework. The problem and solution for it were
already mentioned here couple times ;)
You have to specify port in your config if you want to use an external
db host.

Cezary

Are they not able to bind? Or can they bind and messages fail?
Everything you need to know is in the users manual.

Hello everyone.
Excuse me for this dumb question, but I got lost on the UG regarding this.
I'm using an LG phone and I have MT and MO working fine.
When sending a message via HTTP I'm setting dlr-mask=31
I'm getting DLR correctly but only with status = 8 (delivered to smsc).
When I get the sms
Hi,
This is normal for your configuration. You have not specified smscid in your
sendsms url and therefore there is no smsc-id in your outgoing traffic. This
traffic, therefore, can go out only through your smsc1. Are you sure smsc1
was up while taking store-status?
I don't know at what
Hi,
You are doing the right thing. It seems to be your smsc problem. Talk to
them. dlr-mask = 31 covers all possible reports.

Hi Alejandro,
I wish, I could give you the full answer to your question, but I am
struggling now for some weeks to recover the full DLR and store it in a
MySQL database. I have learned some things in those weeks and I hope, I will
finally accomplish it soon.
What I have figured out so far, is:
Thanks for your reply Nikos.
I guess that if I call my mobile operator's customer service, they won't
even know what I'm talking about hehehe.
The phone I'm using is an Android, so I'll make some more tests using
the phone directly to find out if it gets the delivered report.
Cheers!
Hi Michael,
I had this already figured out by reading the UG and experimenting a
little. (maybe more than a little hehehe)
I'm getting the first dlr from the smsc and it's calling my dlr-url
correctly (I made a perl .cgi that get's the parameters and store the
new dlr status on mysql).
So
Hi Alejandro,
Sorry, I hadn't seen Nikos's reply.
I can see the deliver_sm with all the information (the full dlr) in the
logs but so far I can't manage to capture it into my MySQL table. Tan cerca
pero tan lejos! Soon I will crack it, though.
Best of luck with your endeavours!
Michael

Hola Michael,
Are you sending through smsbox or mysqlbox?
I'm using smsbox, and the URL I'm calling to send the message looks like
this:
Hello,
