The "click on open anyway" option Howard describes only appears in the security window after
you try to open an app from an unidentified developer. Otherwise it is not present.
It is much quicker to right click on the app then click on open.

I have open office 4 and am trying to draw in the drawing section and I draw a
box but it will not save it on the page. It shows it to me fine but as soon as
I right click it goes away. Any help would be nice
