I've been using oVirtBackup in the past few years and also I've done more
restores from this backup than I'd have liked. All restores were
successful. I'm pretty happy with this script:

Well documented, easy to install and configure.

Hi,
I setup AD authentication and from command line all looks good.
Unfortunately, on the Web UI users sometimes login successfully but most of
the times the login screen just hangs and after 2-3 min. it displays
"Unable to log in because servers cannot be reached. Try again later."

Thank you.
I'm using version 4.30.11

Hi all,
A few weeks ago I did a clean install of the latest oVirt-4.3.2 and
imported some VMs from oVirt-3. Three nodes running oVirt Node and oVirt
Engine installed on a separate system.
I noticed that some times some VMs will boot successfully but the Web UI
will still show "Powering UP" for da
Thank you Lucie. Appreciate the help.

Hi,
I'm trying to setup oVirt 4.2.8.2-1.el7 based on a few simple requirements:
Users should be able to:
1) reate new VMs
2) create VMs from templates
2a) Ability to clone the template disk to create a VM independent of the
template
3) create templates
4) view only the VMs they have permission
rom that template all VMs
are Dependent on the template.
This is very easy and fast to test. Can you please try and see if you get
different results.
Thank you for your time.

Hi,
How do I create a template from a VM in "VM Portal"?
I'm using version 4.2.8.2 and I don't see the option to convert a VM to a
template anywhere. The documentation refers to the Administration Portal
interface.
Is it possible to create a template from the "VM Portal" or one must login

Hi,
Users have PowerUserRole permissions on the cluster and the storage
objects. Also TemplateCreator role on the Datacenter.
When users create VMs from templates there is no option to clone the disk
and create independent VM disk. The resource allocation section is not
visible at all.

Hi,
I need to migrate a few dozen VMs from ovirt-4.1.1 to ovirt-4.2.8.
I did a few following this procedure:
VMs export -> Detach Export domain -> Attach Export to new ovirt -> Import
VMs
Importing from VMware is one step only process. All I have to do is select
VMware for Source in the Import p
Thank you for the replies.
What would be the proper way to apply the fix?
I see the change in the source but I can't find the corresponding file on
the system.
Thanks,

Hi all,
We are running oVirt 4.1.1 on engine and nodes. The ISO storage domain is
NFS. Everything has been working great for years.
Now I need to move the ISO and Export domains to a different storage server.
When I put the ISO domain in maintenance the Master domain and the Export

Thank you all for the replies.
When I said "moved the VMs" I meant "rebuilt the VMs". We just created new
VMs and restored services from backups. I'm sorry for the confusion.
I followed Idan's suggestions and was able to remove the datacenter. Thank
you.
