Re: [ovirt-users] Multiple Data Storage Domains

2016-11-19 Thread Gary Pedretty
Solved:

Changing the second storage domain to a glusterfs Distributed Replicate with
sharding turned on, works great. Thanks for the solution.

Re: [ovirt-users] Storage domain for Engine does not appear

2016-11-19 Thread Oscar Segarra
Hi,

I don't understand why, but after creating a new storage pool, I have been
able to attach the engine to the datacenter.

Thanks a lot.

Re: [ovirt-users] Storage domain for Engine does not appear

2016-11-19 Thread Oscar Segarra
Hi,

I have realized that at system level I'm able to see the "Engine" storage:

But when I try to attach it to a DataCenter, i appears as "Locked" for one
second and then it disappears and remains Unattached.

I have tried to import a new gluster domain and I cannot attach it to the
Data Center because it is not Initialized.

Thanks a lot.

[ovirt-users] oVirt 4.0.5 and SHE console from gui

2016-11-19 Thread Gianluca Cecchi
Hello,
In a clean environment configured in 4.0.5 I used VNC for hosted engine VM
console during setup.
In web admin gui I see that the graphics protocol for the Hosted Engine VM
is indeed VNC and Video Type VGA.

I have verified that if I configure a VM with VNC graphics (video type both
cirrus and vga tried) I'm able to connect to it with remote-viewer from
Linux client and with virt-viewer in a W2012 client.
A part from the usual command
 hosted-engine --add-console-password
and related vmcviewer one from console, can I connect to the VNC engine
console also from web admin gui?
Both from Windows and Linux I get error

Unable to connect to the graphic server
C:\Users\Admini~1\Appdata\Local\Temp\console-12.vv

Unable to connect to the graphic server /tmp/mozilla_g.cecchi0/console.vv

Can I setup console to spice after install? And in case can I connect to
its console from webadmin gui then?

Thanks,

Gianluca

I have never setup such a server but if you create the ovirtmgmt bridge
first then the deploy will leave it alone and you won't lose network
connectivity.

You need to create a storage domain first and then the storage domain
will automatically be imported into the Data Center.
That even holds true when you already have an previous storage domain.
You can't import it, you'll need to create a small dummy domain first
and then you can import an old one.
