Any thoughs on these ? Is that UI optimization only a gluster volume custom
configuration ? If so, i guess it can be done from cli, but I am not aware
of the corect optimized parameters of the volume

Hi list,
Is it possible to use LVM mirroring for FC LUNs in oVirt 4.2?
I've 2 FC storages which do not have a replication functionality. So the idea
is to create a LVM mirror using 1 LUN of storage 1 und 1 LUN of storage 2 for
replicating data between the storages on host level (full RHEL 7.5
You could always go expand the volume after deployment by adding more disks
to the logical volume it creates.

Thank you Jayme. I am trying to do this, but I am getting an error, since
the volume is replica 1 distribute, and it seems that oVirt expects a
replica 3 volume.
Would it be another way to optimize the volume in this situation ?

Hi *,
I extended the disk of the hosted engine VM with "vdsm-client" (since it is not
possible using the GUI) as follows:
0. login via ssh to host
1. set hosted engine maintenance mode to global
2. shut down vm
3. extend the disk (vdsm-client Volume extendSize ...)
4. start vm
5. set
I had similar problems until I clicked "optimize volume for vmstore" in the
admin GUI for each data volume. I'm not sure if this is what is causing
your problem here but I'd recommend trying that first. It is suppose to be
optimized by default but for some reason my ovirt 4.2 cockpit deploy did
No. The log file literally jumps from the 8th to the 10th. The first entry
on the 10th was when the host booted back up.

fixing a regression introduced in oVirt 4.2.6 about multipath

We recommend to users experiencing multipath issues to upgrade to this new
release.

Eduardo, there is one thing you should be aware of. The jbod disks aren't

Hi, everyone. Is it possible to create a vHBA for a vm in ovirt cluster ?
I once created a vHBA for a vm when I was using a standalone KVM server. the vm
works very well and has connected to a FCP storage.
I didn't find any feture in ovirt that support creating vHBA. could any one
tell me why
Thanks for your answers!
Yes, my plan is a replica-3 too. The cluster will be bigger, though, 4
or 5 nodes with 10 disks each -> 40 to 50 bricks.
Again, thanks for your help.

This is the key, I had an issue on my DNS configuration that affects the
installation procedure when I'm trying to pull new packages from the repos.
