[SOGo] Problem with sogo-connector 17.0.4

2013-04-16 Thread Rudolf Naujack

Hello,
with sogo-connector 17.0.4 i can't use the address book. The is no sync
between SOGo and thunderbird. A new Thunderbird installation can see the
address book but they are empty. In an other account i can change a
already synced entry and this edit is synced to the SOGo server. But new
entries are not synced into the thunderbird adressbook.

Switching back to 17.0.3 all work fine (thanks to updates.php!) .

We are using sogo 2.0.5 on centos 6.3 and I've updated via yum. And the
client ist thunderbird 17.0.5 ESR with sogo-integrator 17.0.4

I've seen no error messages n the sogo log file.

Thanks for help

[SOGo] Account validation

2013-04-16 Thread Louis-Philippe Gauthier
Hi,

I want to know which LDAP's fields SOGo validates to know if the user's
account is active or not and the password expiration.

Is it the same validation with the Webmail and Thunderbird ?

There is documentation about this ?

Thanks,

Can we expect the fix in a 17.0.5 version on sogo.nu soon?

I don't know GoToMeeting.
How does an event notification look like?

If it is a valid *.ics file, you can simply import it into the desired
calendar.

Thanks for the response, Christian!

I figured it out for myself by simply right-clicking and choosing
Convert | Event

That launched it in Thunderbird where I could Save and Close

GoToMeeting is a facilitator many companies use to sponsor webinars via
a Citrix environment.

In other words, when someone wants to conduct an online seminar, they
invite people to attend, and when the webinar launches, it installs a
Citrix extension in the browser, and attendees can watch and listen as
the presenter presents his subject matter. In this case, it's a field
office training their reps.

Hi,

I also can no longer sync Google contacts with Thunderbird. Using Thunderbird
17.0.5 and Sogo Connector 17.0.4. It was working fine before.

Will this problem be solved for future versions of Sogo Connector, or do I have
to find an alternative solution (any ideas?)

Thanks,
Daniel

Google never released an official CardDAV API. So, there was nothing to
announce. They simply discontinued an inofficial protocol (for public -
not whitelisted apps).

Since the Sogo connector is a Sogo connector and not a Google connector
I don't think this will be solved.

Of course Sogo uses standard Cardav for contact sync with the server.

Since Google has descided to discontinue using standards and forcing
users to use the proprietary Google api,
you have to ask google for a solution. (Or drop the company which means
to force the proprietary API's)

You can have a look at the other thunderbird addons,
there are some working with google stuff.

Re: Re: Re: Re: [SOGo] SoGo connector 17.0.3 /Google CardDAV

2013-04-16 Thread Jaco
Hi guys,

I'm late to the party (sorry), but this is an issue I've been struggling with
myself as of late.

Bit of background: I have a number of clients that use ms outlook to connect to
their company mail/PIM @ Google Apps, and I've been looking for ways to do the
bi-directional PIM RW-sync via an Open Protocol - i.e. WebDAV/CalDAV/CardDAV -
rather than using the Google fat client MAPI/exchange reverse-engineer
effort.

(I've seen the posts know what you're talking about, but) I've actually
contacted Google support on the clients' behalf they've assured me that there
are no immediate plans to deprecate server-side support for CalDAV CardDAV
Open Standards/Protocols (SyncML is deprecated). As you know, this is the
de-facto standard for comms with iOS, OS/X now WiMo.
There does seem to be a bit of confusion around the issue, so I'll try
contact them again to get some clarity.

Anyway, Open Standards/Protocols @ ms/outlook looks like a lost cause (they're
only interested in exchange/activesync), and the closest I've come to finding
WebDAV integration/support for outlook is iCal4OL (proprietary - no viable
FLOSS options available atm).

For ThunderBird I've had some pretty good (not perfect) success with:
* CalDAV: Lightning (not the g'cal connector) by subscribing to
https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/$CalID/events - just disable the
notification option, as there is a long-standing bug (a few years now) that
prevents notifications from being dismissed
* CardDAV: Zindus looks OK

I am aware that SOGo has interoperability components to address the issue, but
another that could assist in this is the DAViCAL (http://www.davical.org/)
server, that can provide some interoperability between various standards.

I'm not sure if I caught the gist of the conversation here of if this
information is of any use.

Kind regards

- Jaco

[SOGo] Manual Delete user account

2013-04-16 Thread Sogo Thailand

Hi All,
I cannot add user by using server-manager . It shows user-deleted.
This happened after I found error message when I tried to delete my user. I
guess I made a mistake why I am logging on (ssh) to a server. The GUI interface
might not completely delete the files because the files are locked by logging
on user.

I setup SOGO mail account on my IPAD too. Does this IPAD also locked files?

Can anyone show me a manual command to completely delete user?

Thank You,

Ham
