Hi Steve,

if you want, you can use my alternative builds for a community that already 
contain the stable version of SOGo for Ubuntu 22.04 (jammy).

[SOGo] Problem with sogo

Hello. I have a problem with sogo mail. When sending a text file with the 
extension as an attachment .txt, mail changes the encoding of the file 
contents. And as a result, the file becomes corrupted with incomprehensible 
characters. How can I fix this problem? Sogo version 5.5.1.

It turnes out i was working with an outdated version of chrome and once i 
updated chrome i could log in once again, thanks for the help.

[SOGo] Viewing calendars in macOS calendar app

Hello,
I have and issue when subscribing to my caldav calendar at Sogo with macOS 
calendar app. I have a number of calendars that I’m subscribed to in web 
interface. When I add account to calendar app, I use the first link - ical of 
my personal calendar (well, ics and xml links behave similar). Ok, great, now I 
have my calendar in calendar.app. Now, if I go to Calendar -> Preferences -> 
Accounts -> (my caldav account) -> Delegation then I see all the users I’m 
subscribed to in web interface with checkboxes. Now if I check the checkboxes 
they all also appear in my calendar app. But here comes the issue - the list of 
available calendars under this person is not limited only to the calendar of 
the person that I’m subscribed to, but it also shows all calendars that we both 
are subscribed to. So 3-4 calendars with mutual subscriptions make a total 
mess, they are just duplicated in a viewing field (because app treats them as 
different calendars). Of cause it’s not a huge problem, because I can manually 
check exactly which calendars I want to see, so I just manually deselect all 
duplicates of similar calendar. 
So, my question is - is it a bug or a feature and on which side, Sogo or Apple? 
I would really prefer that under each person there would be a list of only his 
personal calendars that I'm directly subscribed to.

[SOGo] Notes Function

I'm badly missing a "notes" function for keeping and synchronizing text notes 
across my devices.

Kopano, Kolab, Kerio... there are some groupware apps out which handle notes 
but I would like to stay with SOGo.
Any plans to integrate this feature into SOGo?

I have been testing the 102 betas with SOGo for some time. It is 
actually quite usable without the connector. There are some things that 
do not work:


-- Creating new calendar/address book on the server (web interface has 
to be used)


-- Subscribing to other users calendars only works if you go through the 
whole process of entering a new caldav account.


-- Giving other users access to your calendar/address book (web 
interface has to be used)


-- Address lists (They will never work without changes on the SOGo 
server side)



Given this announcement 
(https://www.mail-archive.com/users@sogo.nu/msg31386.html) I doubt that 
there will be an update for the Thunderbird connector.


We will probably use it without the plug-in in the future.


It is probably better to talk to the Thunderbird people if they can 
integrate some of the missing features.

Hi Brett,

Do you have the domain property set in sogo.conf ?

SOGoMailCustomFromEnabled = YES;

If this is not set, then when you try and create an identify the text 
entered will be red, and the 'OK' button will remain greyed out - I've 
confirmed this behaviour in my environment.  Make sure this property is 
set, sogo restarted and let us know how you go.
