Re: [SOGo] Syncing SOGo with Android
Hi, there's only a beta version of CalDAV for Android which doesn't support CardDAV. http://www.hypermatix.com/products/calendar_sync_for_android I use the the SyncML-Client from Synthesis which supports CalDAV and CardDAV quite good. What doesn't work are Shared Group Calendars but that's a problem of SOGo's funambol-connector as it doesn't check the ACLs for groups. It seems that it only checks the ACLs if you explicitly set it per user. Greetz, Martin Am 29.10.2010 19:53, schrieb Bastian Kirchner: Hi Nahir, I don't know much about Droid devices. Re: [SOGo] Re: TB 3.1+Lightning 1.0b2 (Inverse Nightly)+CalDAV via https: Calendars disappear
Now it does ;-) I don't know since when it works but today I found one problem which caused the editing problem: The enabled email-reminder in Google is the problem!!! Details: === I've both email- and alarm-reminders enabled in my Google calendar by default for new events. If both reminders (alarm+mail) are enabled you can't edit the event by double click on the event. You can enter by double click but if you change something you can click on save and exit and nothing happens! The event isn't saved. Now, delete the email-reminder for this event (the alarm-reminder can be used!) and click on save and exit and all works as it should. Another detail: = If you edit the event directly with a simple click on the event you can only edit the subject (and not description or place) but this works also with email-reminders enabled! Very strange! Now, that I know the problem I can live with it but that's not a very nice solution. Hi Dominique, I've also problems with SOGo in combination with other calendaring systems like Google. I reported this bug months ago with the 1st pre-release of plugins or TB3.x but it still seems to exist. The problems exists if you use the SOGo-Connector plugin. If you only use TB3.x and Lightning STD there's no problem. One way to get it running with TB3.1 is to enable Caching for the Google calendar. I think it's a problem introduced through the SOGo plugins which seem to require caching of the calendars even of foreign calendars. As I remember right I had to play a little bit, delete old profile and restart a few times but than it worked. Now I'm running TB3.1.3 with Lightning Invers, SOGo Connector and SOGo Integrator (all from nightlies). Running only SOGo Connector was to troublesome as it doesn't work good with Lightning STD. The only problem with this solutions is that the Google calendar is marked read-only nearly after every reboot and you've to edit calendar properties if you want to add/change events in it. Hope that helps. HTTP-Authz is only useful for authentication of sogo users but that's all! I also already use it for authentication. But you can't use it for constraints! [SOGo] Re: Lightning Invers 3.1 doesn't work with Google
Ok, now I can edit the event. I didn't change anything only restarted TB a few times. But if you delete the cache.sqlite you don't see any google event. They aren't reloaded correctly with inverse lightning. If you then add a new google event the other google events are suddenly visible. After restart of TB you don't see any google events anymore! Best results I get if I enable CACHE for google calendars. This seems to be a must if you use lightning invers with any other calendars. I think the best way is to use the normal lightning and add all calendars (sogo and others) by hand. It's not as nice as SOGo's solution but it works. Re: [SOGo] Upcoming release, future and Outlook compatibility
Hello, there're some great new feature. Especially the Exchange (ActiveSync over Air) support so every mobile can directly use its integrated exchange support to sync events. Maybe this works also better than Funambol. Another nice feature is the enhanced group support. But there is especially one missing feature - that's necessary for every company - which is group calendars. As far as I know there's also a feature request for this in the bug tracker. There are 2 points which I think are important: 1.) Fully working funambol sync. By now, alarms (reminders) aren't synced correctly which seems to be a problem of absolute and relative alarm times. These should be correctly converted while syncing. Another feature which worked previously are photos. They were correctly synced and remained as vcard. But now they are stripped while syncing but photos are a feature which every modern calendar supports. 2.) Better mail support in the webfrontend: There are many options greyed-out which should be implemented but aren't working so far e.g. delete selected messages or Marks, you can't mark messages as read, unread, ! 3.) Missing support for Thunderbird 3. But I think this will be one of the top-most thinks of the developers list ;-) Great work and I'm hopefully looking forward to the upcoming releases. So far, it features the following enhancements : * added support for the tentative status in the invitation responses * inviting a group of contacts is now possible, where each contact will be extracted when the group is resolved * added support for modifying the role of the meeting participants * attendees having an RSVP set to FALSE or empty will no longer need/be able to respond to invitations * added the ability to specify which calendar is taken into account when retrieving a user's freebusy * added the ability to publish resources to unauthenticated (anonymous) users, via the /SOGo/dav/public url * we now provide ICS and XML version of a user's personal calendars when accessed from his own Calendar base collection * events are now displayed with the coloured stripe representing their category, if one is defined in the preferences * the event location is now displayed in the calendar view when defined properly * added a caching mechanism for freebusy requests, in order to accelerate the display * added the ability to specify a time range when requesting a time slot suggestion * added a Ukrainian translation * updated the Czeck translation and we still have some work to complete prior to the release: http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/roadmap_page.php Also, for more than a year, we've been following closely the OpenChange project (http://www.openchange.org). As you can read from the website, it takes a different approach by providing an open source implementation of the Microsoft Exchange Protocol. The OpenChange project made great progress lately and it's now the right time to start looking at adding a SOGo provider for it. The SOGo provider would allow any Outlook clients to talk directly to OpenChange (without any additional plugins, since it would think it talks directly to an Exchange server) which would then use SOGo's business logic to handle the rest. Outlook users would then be able to fully collaborate with there SOGo, Mozilla Thunderbird/Lightning, Apple iCal and other peers. We've started discussions with the OpenChange team to deliver a PoC as soon as we can so stay tuned for progress on this. As usual, your input is appreciated. Re: [SOGo] the bug with xml and ics ghost calendar
Integrator 0.101pre2 from mtn does the job for me. benoit gautier schrieb: Hi, http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=645 please, can you tell me what version of connector and integrator is ready for service ? I've tried connector 0.101pre2 and integrator 0.101pre2, but this is not working (icons on adress book and calendar dissapear) If I use connector 0.101pre2 and integrator 0.100, that's work but the bug (xml and ics ghost calendar) is here I'm using thunderbird 2.0.0.24 / lightning inverse 0.10 / sogo version 1.2.2 (build @vizzini.inverse.ca 201006081054) Thanks you -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: [SOGo] SOGo-Integrator: Disable automatic conversion of personal addressbook+calendar?
No reason for this decision? No statement of the developers? On Sunday, May 30, 2010 21:58 CEST, Martin Lehmann mli...@ind.rwth-aachen.de wrote: Could one of the developers please answer? Can it be set via a variable or switch in the config files of the Integrator? I don't want to FORCE all people in our company to move there personal calendars and addressbooks to the server. It should be their choice! Maybe somebody wants to use only the company- and group-calendars from the server and would like to hold there personal calendar on its own PC. I think it is a really neat feature to be able to perform this address book conversion (my jaw dropped the first time I installed Integrator and saw it perform it's magic), but, like Martin, it's a little scary that you *have* to do this. Not only that, Thunderbird typically maintains a 'Collected Addresses' address book that automatically saves addresses you manually type into an email. This functionality is important to mimic the similar Outlook feature. It is disrupted after the conversion as when you look into the 'Composition/Addressing' option in Preferences, the 'Automatically add outgoing e-mail addresses to my:' option is blank and cannot be set. I suspect this is because the feature only works with local address books (I wouldn't want these addresses in my SOGo addressbook anyway). Of course you can create a local address book after the Integrator install and then go into the prefs.js file and manually fill-in the local address book name, but this is clearly not the best user experience. Without removing the feature, perhaps there is a way to offer the 'option' to do the addressbook conversion? Steve -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] FreeBusy-Lists not working with Personal Calendar
Hello, FreeBusy-Lists aren't working with Personal Calendars. With all other calendars they work great. Even if you check the include in free-busy in the properties of the personal calendar that has no effect. Is this a bug or feature? Thx, Martin -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
