As I deleted the cache (rough method ;-) ) it lasts maybe half a minute for 6 Calendars on two serveral servers, the exported ics are having 170KByte, the cache file had ca. 500KByte. I did restart it with cached mode (and deleted cache.sqlite file). After I did come back 2hours later it was finished and the cache file has now 8.9MB in size Loading the calendar from the server (non-cached mode) takes 10-20 seconds, creating a cached copy takes more than 20 minutes for the same calendar data. So it looks like there is a problem in the initial cache fill. Something I mentioned in my post yesterday (got missed with the massive interest in the new addons) is that comparing the two versions of the older lightning xpi that the mozilla version was far quicker to recreate its cache file approx 90s compared to the Sogo version of lightning, taking 10-12 mins. Also the sogo version tends to make thunderbird completely lock up so its unusable until the cache has been rebuilt ... I have no idea why there's the difference though .. [SOGo] TB10 and cached mode problem
Hello, we are currently testing (as many others too) TB 10 ESR. So far it looks very good. But I see one problem: - Windows 7 Prof, 64Bit, German - Clean TB10 ESR German, install with official Ligthning 1.2.1 - No Sogo add ons - New profile with one mail account -> I now add a Caldav server url (a sogo server) When I do NOT check the "Cached mode" checkbox the calendar is loaded in ~10-20 seconds and I can use it When I DO check the "Cached mode" checkbox, then: - the calendar is loaded in 30-60 seconds - a heavy lot of disk activities occurs - finally I only have disk activity and TB is completely unusable This happens for one calendar, where the ICS export file is ~1MB in size Anyone seen this ? For me it looks like a bug in the caching code of lightning, since it occurs without sogo addons too But I also did not find any calendar bugs similar to that one in the mozilla bugzilla. Perhaps it is somehow related to this ? https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists/arc/users/2012-02/msg00154.html André -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
