I dont know ActiveMQ but I think you will have to allow any WebApp that
needs it, to start it, if its not already running I think you have 2
options, create a custom JNDI object or create a singleton start up object
in common/lib, here is an article
Guys I like this so much, I couldnt wait for a patch, or possible fix.
The problem with the above KLUDGE is that the fix is internal to TC, and
if
you try incorporate it, you will find you have to pull in half of Tomcats
jars to make it work.
Its never a good idea to include those jars directly
, in the valve is request.getPrincipal returns null, then
redirect them to a URL that is protected by your web.xml and requires a
login.
remember to not trigger the valve on the protected urls

Doug, I have never tried this, so as usual, I guessing here.
I dont think you are going to come right with the standard valves, nor do I
think you should try make a custom valve.
Rather look at filters, they not much more difficult to make than a normal
servlet, and you will find tons of stuff
Hi MARK... I managed to break the thread please see the KLUDGE: WebDav -
mapping question post.
I had a look at the code (just enuf to find a kludge) but what actually
happens is that the WebDavServlet passes a GET onto the Default servlet.
If its a /yada/ it treats that as a folder
David, just wondering I see you Jakarta, Slide is probably your
project...
I had a quick look, looks like a webdav, come file server.
Tomcat is Jakarta right? so I'm just wondering why you guys dont talk
about a common webdav module ie a tomact user adds a few more modules
and gets
/) as not being a WEB
Folder?
So I'm wondering if this mapping is illegal from the point of view of the
webdav servlet or its a problem with MS Web Folders?
Thx

Hi Mohammed,
Cant say I really understand the question
In general this is what the Session Objects are for
So say you have a servlet and a JSP page and say the servlet makes the
bean with the Array List in it then if you
session.setAttribute(MyBean, MyBean);
you can get it
if this mapping is illegal from the point of view of the
webdav servlet or its a problem with MS Web Folders?
Thx

Richard, all sounds very strange, I think post your config data...
It sounds like its not authenticating, and that somehow the error page is

Mladen you very modest... your mod_jk is great.
I think the choice is easy, as long as you got someone making a cool apache
