Re: Contribution to Wicket WIKI
Hi, Since a while the WIKI is locked up for editing by everyone because there was too much spam (according to Apache sysadmins). Give us your WIKI id and we will add you to the list of editors. Contribution to Wicket WIKI
I would like to ask, how is possible to update WIKI. I found som info at: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/WICKET/How+to+contribute+documentation+to+the+Wiki but I cannot find any link for editing of the page (I am logged in, as common user). Stefan
Re: wicket wiki down?
This is not the (or a) new wiki. This has been the wiki since we joined Apache. We were obligated to use an export of the wiki (which is a java process that is often broken) and link to the static files. Since a couple of upgrades the export doesn't work anymore, and now the static content has been removed. Somehow we are not allowed to link to the pages inside the confluence instance by rule of infrastructure (as a popular link could bring the confluence instance down), so we are left with the current situation: a half arsed wiki. As we also don't have direct access to those folders, we are unable to put in anything warning like. Until infrastructure hands us something workable, we can only hope that google correctly indexes the confluence instance and replaces all old references with the confluence URLs Martijn On Thu, Jun 27, 2013 at 8:19 PM, Gabriel Landon wrote: > Yes I did reach this "404" page with a Google search. > Yes it would be nice to have a redirect to the new wiki or at least a > warning message. > > > > -- > View this message in context: > http://apache-wicket.1842946.n4.nabble.com/wicket-wiki-down-tp4659747p4659873.html > Sent from the Users forum mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > - > To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@wicket.apache.org > For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@wicket.apache.org > -- Become a Wicket expert, learn from the best: http://wicketinaction.com - To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@wicket.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@wicket.apache.org

Re: wicket wiki down?
While I agree with searching mailing list or searching web first, from most users perspective, if you google for information before bothering others, you end up on old pages and then links are broken. For example just google wicket framework documentation. First link shows up in google is https://cwiki.apache.org/WICKET/framework-documentation.html and any links from there on are broken. Can we set automatic redirect or at least text in big red color to move to new pages. Not expert in wiki syntax, but I am sure something can be achieved at server level or by page macros. I've been seeing this for about 2 weeks, usually I just looked at the html page source to find the code. But if someone had a fix for this problem, it would be greatly appreciated! I must be in some minority given that the problem hasn't been noticed and fixed, but does anyone else have issues seeing the code example on the Wiki site? Re: Wicket Wiki
Not really, but it looks as if there's some progress and the machines restore is underway, although it's not got to the Wicket spaces yet. Note that Apache was attacked & the CWiki machine was one of the ones open to compromise - see https://blogs.apache.org/infra/ - but while it looks as if it's presently being restored, I'd expect that the other systems were more critical to restore first. /Gwyn On 14 April 2010 15:12, Jeffrey Schneller wrote: > Any ideas on when the Wicket Wiki will be back up? > http://cwiki.apache.org/WICKET > > > > Thanks. > > > > > > > > > >

dont think we could even if we wanted to. you will have to upload the images somewhere public and then ask on the list to have them attached to a wiki page :| -igor On Mon, Nov 2, 2009 at 2:32 AM, wrote: > I would like to ask some screenshots and descriptive images to my > documentations in the wiki. I would like to ask some screenshots and descriptive images to my documentations in the wiki. Can anybody give me these permissions? i18n and resource bundles (wicket wiki)
Hi, on the wicket-wiki (http://cwiki.apache.org/WICKET/i18n-and-resource-bundles.html) I've found a point that won't work. Below the point "Load resources dynamically for a component" there is the first alternative using ...PackageResource.get(MyComponent.class, "Mycomponent.properties")... I've tried that to load properties but it doesn't work. The reason is that the PackageResource calls their accept method internally. This loads a PackageResourceGuard from the Application. But this PackageResourceGuard has a list of blocked extensions: java, class and properties. If you make this call above it'll result in a "PackageResourceBlockedException". marc - To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@wicket.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@wicket.apache.org
