hi, it seems the issue XWIKI-2056 refers to the context path. I've added a
comment. http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-2056
Correcting my own statement, the showviewaction does work. I thought it will
hide /edit/, and other actions before. It should hide /view/ only.

Before overwriting albatross, let's try this last step :
1. Go to
Hmmm this is crazy...
I tried setting...
xwiki.defaultskin=myskin
xwiki.defaultbaseskin=myskin
But it still shows albatross for some reason
I tried symlinking albatross -> myskin on the filesystem, and it wouldn't
load any skin at all (indicates a permission problem, but not filesystem

Now AD authentication is working quite well, content of our xwiki.cfg is
attached in my reply bellow. But we still have some problem with automatic
logging out in some circumstances (wysiwyg editing)
When new AD user is logged in first time, all is OK. He can edit pages in
wiki or wysiwyg mode. Wh

Hi,
Right now I'm just playing around with xwiki, so please forgive me if I
missed the obvious solution/option to my question:
Why is xwiki showing items to users who don't have the right to see the page
anyway? Ie. the "Index" page or the "What's new" section.
Wouldn't it be better to show th
I believe I uncovered a bug in the new XWiki Workspaces
When I create a page and change editors from the WYSIWYG editor to the wiki

I love XWiki Workspaces and installing and setting up from the stand alone
distribution went perfectly - Yay!
But I have applications built on top of Oracle 10g and want to use XWiki on
top of those application tables to build XWiki application components.
I tried to follow the instructions

Hello Vincent,
Thanks a lot for your reply but it have to be embedded in the wiki. I can't ask
every user of the wiki to install the plugin for his browser.
Is there anyway to to embed it in the wiki as a plugin or so? I can write the
plugin myself if it won't take that long to do it
Cheers,

Hi,
Where did you define your custom skin?
My take is that because you have "always authenticate on viewing"
enabled, the skin document is inaccessible.
You can define your skin in xwiki.cfg, see xwiki.defaultskin

You could just use your browser's plugins for this... For example if
you install the google toolbar you get this for free.

Thanks alot for your reply but there is no simpler way to do this?.
I want to control the style as well for that Top link maybe add an icon to it.
If I know where is that Edit link I can simply add the Top link beside it.

Hi Andrew,
To check whether the problem is rights-related (it might be if the skin page
is stored in the wiki), go to your Skin page with an Admin account, click on
edit -> page access rights, and then tick the view right for Unregistered
users.
This will make only that specific page viewable (whi

Hi!
I've managed to login using AD credentials in version 1.3 (group
mapping is disabled), but the user is not created in any group.
The second problem is, when I enable group mapping, XWiki tries to
log in, but without success. I mean the browser is showing it's
loading, and never stops.
