Trying to install on CentOS / Tomcat6 / MySQL

BTW: I have been trying a few things out with includes, and I am rather
annoyed at the inability of accessing the included part and editing it from
including page. If
I have these main documents which I want to consist of a bunch of
"subdocuments", which are included/transcluded (own context, so I'll use
Display, I guess).
Main | -> A | -> B
This document has two versions, New and Old: Main_New | -> A_new | ->
B_new
Main_Old | -> A_old | -> B_

I looked for it, but only in the xwiki.cfg, since that was where I enabled
markdown... No doubt had I read the xwiki.properties more carefully, perhaps
while setting up the office server, I might have seen it. But now it works as
expected.

My team wants to use markdown, and doesn't consider losing WYSIWYG abilites to
be a problem. So, I've enabled Markdown 1.1 in our xwiki.
Q: Is there any way to make markdown the default syntax for all pages?
