Re: [xwiki-users] Clear them all! :p

2015-04-22 Thread Pascal BASTIEN
Hello,I'm sorry, I'm not agree with you : a powerfull system must hide the
systems complexity... And it is a wiki : it's mean if there aren't enough
simple documentation then anybody (high ueser AND "normal people" with non
computer vision) must write a page to contribute and make more available for
"simple" user. :-)
IMO we can use a simple xwiki and/or use higher  level xwiki and/or a
customized one. :-)

That's just the way technology is. The more powerful a system is, and the more
options it has, then the more "technical" it is. If you want something that's
easy for "no computer" people then I'm afraid you need to use something which
has less features and power. A jumbo jet pilot needs to have more experience
and knowledge than a Cessna pilot. The jumbo jet has more buttons and features
and probably cannot be easily or ever flown by a Cessna pilot. That's just the
way things are.

XWiki actually has VERY good documentation (some of the best I've seen, and
I've seen a lot of systems). It also has a helpful mailing list. Unfortunately
it's not XWiki' s fault if you can't understand the documentation or the help
that you have been offered several times here.

I genuinely hope you manage to find a system that you like and works for you.

Kind regards,

Mahomed

Hi guys,

I have a class containing a property type DBList. The Query is something
like this:

SELECT idVarProp.value, CONCAT(codeVarProp.value, ' - ',
naamVarProp.value, ' (', codeProdProp.value, ' - ', naamProdProp.value,
')')
FROM  etc. etc.

This works fine if I use "displayView"; the CONCAT value is displayed on
screen. I now want to use a custom displayer to access this CONCAT part.
I guess I should have access to some kind of Map value, but I do not
know how to get to it.

Any ideas or is this not possible at all?

Re: [xwiki-users] Tomcat error 500 for pages with " in title

2015-04-22 Thread D R
Hi,

it has nothing to do with the space name. I can reproduce the issue accross
several (sub-)wikis and different spaces. The only thing relevant to
reproduce the error is the quotation mark (") in the page name.

As soon as I want to open such a document or create one I get the 500 error
from tomcat mentioned below.

Yes, the Windows server accepts the quotation marks, I can click the
document links and they are shown correctly, the Ubuntu Server throughs the
500 error at me.

Dennis

Hi D R!

Does this URL included in the error message some special meaning for you? Could
it be the only space with some reserved characters in the space name?

http://10.80.75.216/xwiki/wiki/kunden/view/Some+&+Space/Kunden+Appstore+iPad+Apps

Perhaps they were allowed in your Windows Server and Ubuntu rejects them?

Re: [xwiki-users] Backup

2015-04-22 Thread D R
Via the application you can export spaces and pages offering to export
everything (by adding all spaces and containing pages). This will give you
a XAR file of the whole content.

Then you can import this XAR file via Administration > Import.
Again, if you have lots of (big) attachments I recommend switching to
filesystem attachments. There is also a documentation for that:
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Attachments#HFilesystemAttachmentStore

Re: [xwiki-users] XAR

2015-04-22 Thread Thomas Mortagne
Impossible to tell you why without more details like what error do you
get etc. If you don't see anything in the UI please look at the log.

Given the size of you XAR file it's probably a memory issue.

[xwiki-users] Container macro disables headers as anchors?

2015-04-22 Thread Gerritjan Koekkoek
When we have headers of level 1 or 2 inside the container macro it looks they
can not be used as "section" in the Include/Display macro?

Or are we missing something?

Our goal is to have columns in a wide display that responsive change to a
single column when the display (tablets, smart-phones) does not have enough
width
