Indeed. The latest version of Angular Material performs an extra test on date strings which doesn't handle non-latin characters. I just fixed it. This could point us in the right direction, now I could reproduce a similar problem too ...: If I use German language settings and select a date for enable or disable or both within March (regardless which year), then in German this month contains an umlaut (M_ä_r) and so the save button stays grey and the line under the date stays red. After Switching to English the month becomes 'M_a_r' -> no umlaut and I can save/activate the vacation message. I did all my former tests within February and so I didn't observe this (IMHO) bug. Sounds like there are some translation issues if you look at the mail about the french saving button, as well. It only works for English there, too. Am 26.
