My team wants to use markdown, and doesn't consider losing WYSIWYG abilites to
be a problem. So, I've enabled Markdown 1.1 in our xwiki.
Q: Is there any way to make markdown the default syntax for all pages?

I looked for it, but only in the xwiki.cfg, since that was where I enabled
markdown... No doubt had I read the xwiki.properties more carefully, perhaps
while setting up the office server, I might have seen it. But now it works as
expected.

I have these main documents which I want to consist of a bunch of
"subdocuments", which are included/transcluded (own context, so I'll use
Display, I guess).
Main | -> A | -> B
This document has two versions, New and Old: Main_New | -> A_new | ->
B_new
Main_Old | -> A_old | -> B_

BTW: I have been trying a few things out with includes, and I am rather
annoyed at the inability of accessing the included part and editing it from

Yes. I took it from /usr/share/tomcat6/logs which equates to /var/log/tomcat6

Yup, /var/log/tomcat6/catalina.out is where I got it.

Changed the xwiki.cfg and xwiki.properties as instructed
(environment.permanentDirectory=/var/local/xwiki/)
Did you solve this? I'm using CentOS and ended up adding startup instructions
for headless office in /etc/rc.d/rc.local
