When we tested XWiki for the first time, we tested the "ZIP Package". It's
easy to use and you can install Extensions, play with programming, etc.

Note that MyXWiki.org might not be the best for your use case since
you won't have programming right. In practice it means you won't have
the whole spectrum of possibilities (mainly impossible to install some
extensions, impossible to use some APIs in the scripts).

Still want one ?

Actually you cliked "Annuler" instead of "Reporter" according to the log.

Thanks, I'm looking.

Looks like we have some regression that makes Extension Manager
require programming right instead of admin right to install the XAR
extension org.xwiki.enterprise:xwiki-enterprise-ui-wiki-9.1.1.

Should be fixed quickly.

Rights error "Access denied when checking [programming] access to xxx" also
occur when upgrading for extesions:
- Wiki Application for subwikis
- XWiki Enterprise - UI - Common
- XWiki Platform - Wiki - UI - Common

the list is very very long.

Is there something I can do?

Actually you cliked "Annuler" instead of "Reporter" according to the log.

As I said, just follow the Distribution Wizard but don't cancel it if
you have an error this time so that I can see it.

Ok. On the wizard I have just clicked on "Report" button not on "Never ask

So looks like you told Distribution Wizard to never come back again.
Let me reset this and restart so that you get it back. If you have an
error again please tell me and don't cancel the wizard so that I can
look at it.

Re: [xwiki-users] [myxwiki] XWiki Enterprise 9.1.1 Upgrade

2017-03-03 Thread Ldm Public
First I had the error while performing the "Wiki Enterprise upgrade"
(automaticaly proposed on first Admin login). I'm not sure of the exact
extension causing the error.

Then I had a look to "upgradable extension" and the same error occurs on
CKEditor Integration.

Hope this helps,

Would it be possible that you tried to upgrade your wiki before I send

Sounds like it's trying to install a JAR extension which is not
already installed during main wiki upgrade.

Re: [xwiki-users] [myxwiki] new wiki request

2017-01-17 Thread Vincent Massol
Hi Luis,

If you’re logged with a user having admin permissions you should see the
Distribution Wizard
(http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Features/DistributionWizard).

Since myxwiki.org was updated to XWiki 8.4.4 and your wiki was on 8.4.3 before
the wizard kicks in to let you update the default pages to 8.4.4 versions.

If you’re not logged with an admin user you should continue to see the pages as
before.

Thanks
-Vincent

Our wiki site no longer shows any content, we've made several additions and raw
content to our wiki page but we can no longer see it. Has our wiki page been
wiped or am I missing something else?

2016-08-16 Thread Vincent Massol
Hi Regan and all,

I’m just back from holiday this morning. The myxwiki.org machine is not
responding and I can’t even ssh to it. I’ve pinged the admin of that machine
for help. Hopefully we should be able to get it back online sometime today.

Thanks and sorry about that

Hi Jeff,

I’ve now created your wii and it’s available at http://ipfwsole.myxwiki.org/
I’ve made it a closed wiki by default. You can change that in the admin.

Please note that this farm is a testing farm with no guarantees whatsoever

Right now myxwiki.org<http://myxwiki.org> seems to be running slowly.

Enjoy your wiki!

This is actually part of 7.4.1 (see http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-12920).

7.4.1 is planned to be released today but it's possible we are a
little late on it and that it's release Monday, but in any case it's
coming.

Re: [xwiki-users] MyXWiki: migrate users to a permanent XWiki instance

2016-01-28 Thread Thomas Mortagne
You can "add the attribute", the issue is that the document you are
importing contain an attribute that 6.4 does not understand.

I think we need to modify the importer to just ignore what it does not
know. In the meantime all you could do is remove the Timezone property
in the XAR but this is not so easy if you have lots of users.

Re: [xwiki-users] MyXWiki: migrate users to a permanent XWiki instance

2016-01-28 Thread Gerritjan Koekkoek
I've tried two scenario's.

Export a single user by going to the local user page and export as XAR
Then import that XAR in 6.4.7
I get the selection list and I select the user page
Then click import
Importing XWiki.JoseLaheij.xar: Import successful
0 Document(s) installed
0 Document(s) skipped
1 Document(s) with error
List of erroneous documents
XWiki/JoseLaheij.xml

When navigating to the erroneous document:
Not Found

The requested URL /xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/JoseLaheij/xml was not found on this
server.

The url looks a bit strange:
http://www.waihonapedia.org/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki%2FJoseLaheij/xml
(the %2F instead of /)

The other scenario i used was using the wiki preferences on myXWiki and click
export.
Without any dialog a backup.xar is created
When importing the backup.xar on 6.4.7 file is successfully attached, but when
clicking to import there is no page shown although the size is 17MB

XAR exported in 7.3 are supposed to be compatible with 6.4.x (or 1.0
for that matter). Unless you use things like sub space which simply
don't exist in 6.4 (but even in this case you will get your document
imported, just not exactly in the same place).

Do you get an error when you import it in the UI or in the log ?

Re: [xwiki-users] MyXWiki: migrate users to a permanent XWiki instance

2016-01-28 Thread Gerritjan Koekkoek
Yes, we have a few applications that are developed on 6.4
Also found it difficult to get used to child-child-child page navigation.
Especially when linking to pages you know that exist but can not be found.

But I definitely believe dropping the space structure will be the way forward

Wait for more intuitive page finding when linking pages

XAR exported in 7.3 are supposed to be compatible with 6.4.x (or 1.0
for that matter). Unless you use things like sub space which simply
don't exist in 6.4 (but even in this case you will get your document
imported, just not exactly in the same place).

Do you get an error when you import it in the UI or in the log ?

Re: [xwiki-users] Myxwiki Instance problem

2015-12-11 Thread Thomas Mortagne
You can force any skin by adding ?skin= to the URL.

For example
http://http://waihonapedia.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/admin/XWiki/XWikiPreferences?editor=globaladmin=Presentation=flamingo
give you access to your admin with the standard skin flamingo so that
you can change the skin to something else.

Hi Jeff,

I’ve now created your wii and it’s available at http://ipfwsole.myxwiki.org/
I’ve made it a closed wiki by default. You can change that in the admin.

Please note that this farm is a testing farm with no guarantees whatsoever
(uptime, performances, etc). See http://myxwiki.org for details.

Right now myxwiki.org seems to be running slowly.

Enjoy your wiki!

Hi Thomas, just tested it, and you're right. Strange, when first logging

Anyhow, thanks again! I'm going to have fun I think!
