Hi guys, While polishing up my mostly stock, '85 Max for Biketoberfest, I discovered that the rubber bumpers on the top of the rear shocks have turned into rubber powder! (and fell off the shocks upon pressure!) I'm assuming they're there to prevent the shock piston from bottoming out internally,

Hey Chris, I think that your best bet would be to find some kind soul on the list who's replaced their rears with Works shocks and see if they'll give you a humanitarian discount on the stock shocks they've removed OR call Hacksaw (Furbur) at RMS and see if he's parting out a bike with a deal on

Don, you should get upto 6" rim in the stock swingarm, 5.5" to be on the safe side. Don't know about the wheelie bars, probably well worth checking out a few "drag" sites lists.. Careful with the driveshaft - "rumour" has it that SOME (!) flex is built into the design to reduce the 'torque
