Hello all,
To make a long story short, I went racing this last weekend, for the
first time since I got my Nitrous system fully operational. I found that by
the end of the day, I couldn't keep the tire from spinning while heading
down the track. There were even times when the front wheel was off the
ground a foot and a half AND the rear wheel was spinning (all this at 95
mph). I bet if it was a warmer day (it froze at the track that morning)
things would have been better, but I am now considering a slick. I went to
the Goodyear website and found some info, but am looking toward experience
with VMaxes and slicks. It appears that most of the slicks available are
18". That's just fine, as I assumed I would have to buy a new wheel for the
slick. How wide can I fit in the swingarm? I see that Goodyear makes a
5.5" and 7" wide slick in 18" rim size. Also, are there wheelie bar kits
available for the max, or will I have to fabricate them? One more thing,
who makes a stonger-than-stock driveshaft?
