The problem occurs when a CA resident wants to buy a
non-California-approved vehicle and register it in CA.
As long as the vehicle has 7500 miles or more on it, registering
it in California is no problem. I brought my Virago and Venture

registration if I buy an out of state bike? I live in California and I am

Individuals are prohibited from

California, no restrictions. The problem occurs when a CA resident
wants to buy a non-California-approved vehicle and register it in CA.
And someone asked if an out-of-state bike would pass our emissions test;
I don't think there's a test for individual bikes in CA--new bike models
just have
