Hello:
If this is a faq please let me know the link. Which is the best way to
configure mutt to access an email account on a server which uses qmail,
vpopmail and an imap server (courier).
Any hint will be appreciated.

Mr Sam has this quite well documented.

Subject: [vchkpw] Mutt/Pine with vpopmail+Courier
Anyone managed to get mutt or pine working with Courier IMAP and vpopmail?
I am trying to do this on a RH7 Linux box. Mutt does not recognize any mailbox
of the form imap://mail.domain.com/INBOX
Im running vpopmail so I have lots of virtual domains.

Does anyone know how to set mutt up so that it will
read vpopmail? Since the mail directories are
actually owned by vpopmail the traditional setup won't
work.

I know the feeling. :-) (Aside from the racecar driver, there's also a
spokesman for the Navy who pops up from time to time.)
Jeffrey B. Gordon, here.

About a week ago Kieran Barnes was asking how to get Mutt working in a

IMAP server", essentially -- good answers, but I'm not sure we ever got
to the heart of what the problem was.

Hi,
Does anybody use mutt to read their mail in a vpopmail enviroment?
I can't seem to get it to work correctly.
What options would I need in my .muttrc, and variables I'd need to set prior
to starting mutt?

Since I own all the files within the domain simerson.net, I can use pine to
read the mail in that Maildir. I suppose Mutt could also do that if it reads
Maildir's.

I'm not sure. Pine was pulled from the OpenBSD ports for security
reasons, & I respect that. OTOH, if Pine can do this I might be
willing to take the risk.
What can Pine do?
Does it have to be Mutt or can he use Pine?

Sorry, I really should have been more clear. Here's what I'm looking for:
A user, let's call him Patrick, has to get POP mail at night when he
gets home. He also has to be able to read mail via SSH & Mutt during
the day.
Here's the kicker: it is strictly forbidden for
