Hello,
We've installed vpopmail 5.0pre1 so that we have the possibility to add no

I was thinking about this last night.
Do you have your qmail-smtpd setup to do authentication?
If so, it might require your netscape to do smtp authentication.

Hello,
Using vqregister on one of my domains, constantly produces an error when
people try to subscribe to it. The message is:
Unrecoverable Error: Internal field check error.
An unrecoverable error occured while processing your request.
Please contact the administrator if this continues.

This means that you've enabled database storage, and that your

In my opinion it's pretty safe.
Just make sure you have the right database information set-up in advance.

Everything should be fine. At the very least, back up your current

sure you backup your ~vpopmail/domains directory, and if you use
a database, dump the database to disk just in case.

Currently I use vpopmail 4.9.10 and it works fine. But, 5.0pre3

Ken,

If there is a feature that is hurting vpopmail alot in the mysql
implementation, is that it's still bouncing mail when it's unable to connect
to the mysql server (just saw this behaivour an hour ago with the 5pre3
release). will this ever be resolved ?

I can't get it to break. And I tested with

In earlier versions of vpopmail, you could insert entries in the mysql table

happens now when you pop the user or login through sqwebmail, which is nice.
The question is, has the autocreation of Maildir been removed when

Are you using Bruce Guntner (?)'s qmail rpm's? I remember there was a cron
job or something like that that would clober one of the files needed by

I installed it basically like this BSD install
http://matt.simerson.net/computing/qmail/qmail.toaster1.5.shtml only on RH
Linux 7.1 with TWIG -- so no rpm.
I'm going to try adding some users and see if they'll work and maybe a
domain or two. I may try upgrading to the new release if that fails.
I am using the default ones created by vpopmail on install.

Good ady, friends!
Forgive me if I misunderstood something,
but how to use .qmail file for virtual users?
I wish do following:
i've got an account and want : deliver mail for this account, and forward to someone
else.
With clean qmail its looking like
./Maildir/
someone.else
No prob, this is easy with virt users. All you have to do is put the
.qmail file in the root dir of the domain
(/home/vpopmail/domains/mydomain.com/). Just do a normal dot-qmail file
(.qmail-username) and put the usual stuff in it except for the
./Maildir/, put the full path
