All of the above processing is being done by qmail-local. It looks
as if one of the Maildir lines in your .qmail-aliasname file is

This function actually calls:

first = 1 to start a new one, first = 0 for all subsequent calls
keep calling it while it returns non NULL.

If not, that is the problem.

Plus, the rpm from Bruce has an hourly cron job that will destroy the

What vpopmail does, to try and make everyone happy, is to

If you installed qmail from an rpm, some of the rpms
install a crontab that will destroy the /var/qmail/users/assign

You'll need to find that cronjob and remove it. Then re-create

yes is that mysql uses a file

per table. I think mysql normal keeps up to a maxium of 20 open
tables.
So if you have 20+ active domains, mysql will be opening and closing
database table files, which will slow down performance.

vcdir.c - source code for new vcdir program
usage: vcdir "domain name"
vcdir reads in a domain's .dir_control file then writes it into
the new mysql dir_control table.
This provides a clean upgrade path to the new dir_control table
method in the mysql module.

9.8 doesn't rely on reverse DNS anymore. It uses
a IP <--> domain mapping file. Use the vipmap program to
administer this file.
For example;
vipmap -a 1.2.3.4 domain1.com
Wiil add a new mapping of 1.2.3.4 to domain1.com
vipmap -p
will print out the current mapping.
