Re: [vchkpw] RE: Redundant server
Dear David, I'm running vpopmail/qmail and i find one solution to backup all the users, and in case the server goes down, i can save all my users, but it's not automatic, i mean it isn't redundant but it works fine Lucas G. Im looking to do that and I was wondering if there was any documentation available. Also is there any documentation I can read on how to properly backup the e-mails, users, config files on the setup stated above. I am running that on redhat 9. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Re: [vchkpw] RE: Redundant server
Well, i make a tar.gz file with the crontab of the /home/vpopmail, where the mailboxes are, but the only important thing is the file called "vpasswd", with this file you can make a cvs file like this one ./vadduser -q "quota" [EMAIL PROTECTED] password only with this information, imagine you have a larger file, for example more than 100 lines like this one, once you have created this file you only have to run it in the new server, with the vpopmail and qmail installed and it creates all the users again. Re: [vchkpw] virtual domain
yes, you have to add the domain with ./vadddomain first and then add the user to that domain with ./vadduser bye Lucas G. After entering the passowrd for star, i got the following errors message : Error: Unable to chdir to vpopmail/domains directory Question is, how do i use vadduser to create users for my default domain. And again, do i have to create my default domain as a virtual domain with vadddomain, in order for me to create vadduser's' on it? Jas.
