vpopmail uses a very specific LDAP schema. If you can get
 'openxchange' to
emulate this schema, then it will work. Otherwise, it will not.

I believe there is a README.ldap file in the vpopmail source
 distribution, you
should have a look at it :)

As far as i know as long you have smtp-auth patch you can also

Correct me if I'm wrong. I have got eMPF pacth created by Bill Shupp and
I sure that its different with smtp-auth. its for administering rule and

What do you think of?

empf is a patch written by inter7.com, which allows you to create
custome rules whether you will allow or deny some mails to relay or
accept base on your criteria or policy. I think smpt-auth patch is one
of the requirement of empf patch in order for this to work. i'm sorry

Hi Ronald,

did you have build eMPF to your qmail successfully ? because I got an
error when compiling 'make qmail-smtpd'. could you explain more easy for
me ?
thanks

Yes i build it with my qmail installation successfully, our mileage may
vary but i can only give you a tip on this since i don't use

Bill Shupp's qmail toaster.

Here's what you need on the stock qmail with qmail-auth patch you
can get empf patch from inter7.com and follow instruction accordingly.
Please remember empf patch rely on qmail-auth patch in order this to work.

In your case since you are using Bill Shupp's qmail toaster i know
it's heavily modified and you can't straight patch the empf to your
qmail installation. Here is what you need base on the documentation i
read from inter7.com

Bill Shupp's qmail toaster eMPF patch
created by Mike Tesliuk

Do you have this patch on hand ? if yes please read them carefully
on how to integrate it with your qmail installation.
if there's a lot of error kicks in just reply on this e-mail and paste
the original error message since, the list can't diagnose further
problem if you are saying I got an error when compiling 'make
qmail-smtpd'. Please be more specific the more error you provide the
better of chances a lot of people helping you.

Sorry friend for my wrong grammar since i'm not a native english speaker.

Hi List,

On my personal experience i use the combination of stock qmail +
spamcontrol + vpopmail + eMail Messaging Policy Framework (eMPF) comes with
inter7.com.

spamcontrol can be found at http://www.fehcom.de/qmail/spamcontrol.html
for me it has everything you need and i think the author himself is here on
the list :)

That's exactly 'roaming users' feature of vpopmail.

Yes. Just so everyone is aware, it won't work with the latest versions of
Courier-IMAP. You will need to find a 3.x series Courier-IMAP if you want
to
 use that feature.

SMTP-Auth is more flexible and works better, IMHO. It usually comes with
LDAP
baggage in the patch, though... if you don't need that functionality, you
could perhaps hack it back out (I haven't tried). It also has
traditionally
conflicted with the chkuser patch, which I need for my Barracuda spam
 firewalls.

 Hope this helps.

Re: [vchkpw] qmail-tap patch + spamcontrol

2005-07-01 Thread Ronaldo Chan
qmail-tap patch can be found on

http://www.inter7.com/?page=qmailtap

New Release version 1.1 Mon Jun 6 13:18:04 CDT 2005
This version allows for setting a different email address for each line in
the taps control file. The new syntax is email address to tap:Address to
send the copy to.
For example:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

* The qmail tap patch adds additional functionality: Specify which email
addresses tap using a regex style control file. With the regex function, you
can specify full domains or individual email addresses.
* Specify which email address to send the tapped email address.
* Qmail does not need to be restarted to change the above. Just update
the taps control file.

The regex match is applied to both the to and from email addresses. So email
sent to or from the addresses will be copied.
