Yesterday I tried to change all my users from normal /etc/passwd Auth. to
the advanced vpopmail authentication. I though this would be great even
because later I may use qmailadmin.
Altogether this took me about 6 hours or so. Why? The server did not accept
messages? Again why? because of

password to say 8 or 10 ?

You did forgot to send error message. You also did forgot to start pop3
server as discused in FM (aka FAQ, 5.).
