So here's my situation: I've been working to get all authentications consolidated into a central database. With pure-ftpd, apache (using mod_auth_pgsql), and other software, I've been able to define a clean, normalized database structure for storing all of my E-mail addresses and passwords.

Casey, I'm using PostgreSQL support in a production environment. I actually have installed it on production systems for customers as well. Myself and others have done work on the PostgreSQL code. It's not pretty but it does work. It will not create the tables if they exist. It's not elegant, b
