Re: [vdr] vdr-xine 0.9.3 audio problems
Hi again Had no response on this - guess Reinhard has been away? Any suggestions on this?? Hi I've just upgraded from vdr-xine 0.8.0 to 0.9.3 (well overdue) and I'm having audio problems. When each of the following lines appeared in std-out, it coincides with skips in audio and gaps in audio sync buffered 6.3 frames (v:10.9, a:6.3) buffered 7.1 frames (v:13.5, a:7.1) buffered 8.5 frames (v:14.5, a:8.5) buffered 9.1 frames (v:15.1, a:9.1) buffered 10.3 frames (v:16.7, a:10.3) buffered 11.1 frames (v:17.3, a:11.1) buffered 12.2 frames (v:18.8, a:12.2) buffered 13.5 frames (v:19.7, a:13.5) buffered 14.1 frames (v:20.2, a:14.1) buffered 15.4 frames (v:21.0, a:15.4) I might have to revert back to vdr-xine-0.8.0 again - this was the same problem I had with all versions beyond 0.8.0, and previous attempts to upgrade Any ideas? ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr
[vdr] Dual DVB-S2 Tuner cards
Hi guys, do any of you have information with regards to Dual DVB-S2 Tuners on a PCI or preferably a PCI-E type card working on vdr? I did have a look on http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-S2_PCIe_Cards But only mentions 2 and they seem to be a rare find. Well at least where I live. Does anybody else know of working DVB-S2 cards for Linux? I did find plenty of Hybrid/Dual type cards but they seem to be supporting DVB-T + DVB-S/S2 and not even both at the same time :( Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Theunis ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr
Re: [vdr] Dual DVB-S2 Tuner cards
I like the Tevii PCIe card. It has a single DVB-S2 receiver with decent sensitivity, is low profile, easy to set-up and multiple cards work in one system. Hi, Tarik. AFIK Vdr do not support multiple frontends in HVR-4000. While ago It was a patch while for HVR-3000 to do so, but I don't know if it possible to apply to recent version of VDR. Re: [vdr] vdr-sxfe buffer empty
Reverse patching this one (just patch view from the same link) http://xineliboutput.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xineliboutput/vdr-xineliboutput/xine_input_vdr.c?view=patchr1=1.278r2=1.279sortby=date seems to work for me for current CVS version. There are problems so I've had interest to upgrade. The other problem with this otherwise pretty OK version is that vdr-sxfe stops occasionally to respond to Lirc and keyboard. Also zapping to any HDTV channel freezes vdr-sxfe but HDTV functionality is not a big priority for me at the moment. I have sampled every now and then xineliboutput CVS. E.g. Aug 24th version has bad audio. I haven't tried to iterate where the problems exactly started. With CVS version from yesterday September 27th I get these problems again. Here I meant audio breaking problems with live TV and recordings that is pretty annoying. BR, Seppo Would this proposed change help? The diff is rather large, do I need to revert everything shown by this link (or just some commment somewhere)? Is the change needed on server, client or both? There is a device called Media-Pointer MP-S2 DVB-S2 Twin Tuner matching your requirements. The linux driver has been started to my understanding, but is not yet working fully, from what i understand from http://www.vdr-portal.de/board/thread.php?threadid=87049 (german, some guys which have the card) - what you can read from where is that linux support for the card is at least planned and partially finished. The card seems to be pretty new. So working on vdr seems not yet been fullfilled. Maybe you can check on DVB mailinglist for more details. [vdr] lirc-0.8.6 moved socket to /var/run/lirc/lircd
Hi list! lirc starting from version 0.8.6, does use the socket /var/run/lirc/lircd instead of /dev/lircd, so all apps not using liblirc_client need to be changed. Else IR will not work in VDR. There are two possibilities: 1. Shell code to check which of the two sockets do exist and adding relevant command-line-parameter to vdr (--lirc=/var/run/lirc/lircd). 2. Patching VDR to check both pathes and using the existing one. Regards Matthias ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr
