[vdr] Issue with VDR-2.0.4 and IPTV-2.0.0 plugin

2013-10-27 Thread Karim
Hi,

I've installed IPTV-2.0.0 on VDR-2.0.4 to view IP channels from my DSL
provider.

No problem on compilation and installation. Unfortunately, I've an issue :

- when viewing channels via vdr => sound is OK but video freezes **every**
seconds.

- when viewing channels via vlc (outside vdr) => no problem.

In vdr plugin menu, I tried to change buffer value and % prefill buffer
without success.

And filters are selected on "NO".

I can't determine if problem comes from vdr or from iptv-plugin.

Did I missed something ? Is there any special patch to apply ?

Could you please help me to fix this issue ?

Regards.

Karim

Re: [vdr] searching a HW problem

2013-10-27 Thread Torsten Mohr
Hello,

an additional amplifier for the signal solved the problem. So it was HW
related.

Best regards & Thanks for the hints,
Torsten

Re: [vdr] no image with TeVii S464

2013-10-27 Thread VDR User
If you always have a good signal with your Nexus then the problem is
not the lnb or cable. BTW, unfortunately the signal meter is
unreliable for a lot of cards because they don't follow a standardized
metric. It works for some cards, for others it's basically useless.

Other things to consider... Is the driver for your TeVii S464 known
to be good/solid/stable? If not, the driver might be to blame. Is your
card correctly detected by the driver or do you have to manually tell
it which card you're using? Is the tuner on the card overheating? If
the copper core wire was cut too short, it can cause inconsistent
signal with some connectors, or no signal at all even if it works fine
with a different connector.

Basically there is not enough information to know the source of your
issue. You've got to do further investigation.

Hi,

I use the femon plugin to check the signal, and there is only some 20%
of the first line (red), when I test my brand new TeVii S464, and no image.

When I replace the card with my old
"Technotrend/Hauppauge WinTV Nexus-S rev2.X", I get green signals and an
image, so it seems that everything is fine with my dish.

Is there some configuration issue, or is this new card just broken?
Or do I need another LNB?

TIA for any hints,

Hi.
20% it's poor signal. To check lnb you can put your hand between dish
and lnb, signal must to change. If not, the problem it's with lnb.

[vdr] no image with TeVii S464

2013-10-27 Thread Peter Münster
Hi,

This is probably not a VDR problem, but I guess that here are people who
could help perhaps.
