I believe the right way to go is to implement a full 24 (32 with alpha

i don't want to complain, i like vdr very much (use ist now for years),

still not 100%. Is there anything in the queue about this topics?

Thanks a lot

What about an id which can be set in the config-file? Should be the

 So what is the problem?

I want to use a TV and I would like to have a OSD. I like the OSD of
VDR, but there is only one. I would like to have one VDR-Server and two
or more Clients which can use OSD, program timer and view recordings. I
still not found a possible way to do this without hacks.

Has not much to do with this. The limitation for a client-server
solution is that VDR has exact ONE display front end, ONE open menu at a
time, ONE recording playback, ONE user that edits a timer, ONE display
size, ONE number of lines that fits on the screen, and so on.

Its just a lot easier to do it with multiple VDR instances that share
the few unique resources like DVB hardware, timers and recordings. And
all that is already possible with a streamdev like setup.

I wonder how? I try to do this now for some years, but I can not find a
really good solution. Can you tell me some details?

[vdr] segmentation fault in vdr-sxfe

2008-03-25 Thread Oliver Joa
hi,

i use vdr-sxfe as a client for vdr with the xineliboutput-plugin.
since i upgraded my debian system (testing), i always get a
segmentation-fault when pressing a key. i start like this:

vdr-sxfe --video sdl xvdr:tcp://video4:37890

i can see the actual tv-program but when i press any key to switch to a
other program or show the menu i get a segmentation fault. if i telnet
to the server to the control-port and use the command hitk m or hitk
up/down i can switch program an see the menu without problem.

does anyone have a idea?

[vdr] astra und hotbird ueber diseqc schalter?

2007-09-16 Thread Oliver Joa
Hi,

hier 2 Sender in ihrer Muttersprache gibt. Hauptsaechlich wird also

Hotbird. So koennte man dann falls noetig gleichzeitig 2 verschiedene

Danke

Gruss

Olli
