My Samsung linux based TV set (http://samygo.sourceforge.net/) won't play
.TS without PCR (both h.264 and mpeg2).
Windows media player in windows 7 can play mpeg2 and H.264 .TS only with PCR
pid.
I haven't tried any other player.

Hello,
Switch off composing is not needed on latest drivers (it was bug, but it is
fixed)
Except this I have similar problem, independent to composite desktop on or off.
CPU usage from xine is between 5%-50% and it drop video frames.
All libs (ffmpeg, x264, xine-lib-1.2-vdpau, xineliboutput) a

Hello,
my VDR has exactly *one* Full Featured DVB card as tuner card. The card
has *no* hardware mods.
If I record a channel with "higher bandwith" (like the german ARD) and
watch this channel at the same time, then, after some time, VDR, the
driver or "something else" seems to get problems

Probably referring to the stalling issue fixed

You need a Full-TS Mod for this.
For details about this Mod have a look at this page:

Hi,
This problem is well known and there is no solution without hw mods's
available.
The question is:
Is there a way to disable the output while recording such channels?
This will be great for ff card without full-ts-mod.

Another question: Wouldn't it be possible to make the current VDR work with
"old" firmwares? Maybe with a switch to the kernel driver, which togg
Hi,
1.7.11 improves the situation: As long as I don't use the plugin
dvbsddevice, all recording works fine.
As soon as I use the plugin dvbsddevice, the behavior is as described.
I still think that a recording should work, even if it cannot be
displayed by the current primary device.

Hi,
I was now successfully to vdr 1.7.10 with xineliboutput and vdpau
support running.
Output is via HDMI from my atom board.
But I'm not able to get DD5.1 output over HDMI running.
Maybe someone can give a hint what is wrong or missing.
Here is an extract what I did to get xinelibout runni
The hardware mod is an option, but if you don't want to get under the

Or wait for dvbsddevice plugin or similar to have a workaround for your card.
