Has anybody seen a roadmap for Flashbackup support on Linux? We're getting
some very large lun requests (well over 1TB) and with the success we've had
with Flash on Solaris and Windows, I'd like to use it on Linux as well. The
latest compatibility chart I've seen shows no support yet and the
Strange problem i have posted about before where im getting a status 14

Greetings,
We had similar problems backing up a group of Windows servers through a
firewall. The the network traffic was so high
that the connection would be closed by the windows client. I have a
workaround (a regristry hack) that seems to work.
If the box is UNIX, there may be parameter
Hi,
We are running NetBackup 5.0 MP7 and it has been having problems
cleaning up the old/expired backups. I looked around and people
suggested using the following to address the issue:
# touch /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/CLEAN_IN_BACKGROUND
# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpimage -cleanup
Thanks Ed! How often did the backups fail in your environment when the
background cleanup process was enabled? What kind of error messages did
you see from such failures?

Folks,
We're running an ancient (3.4) version of Netbackup at a small remote
site, and we need to import a handful of DLT tapes from a second remote
3.4 site. Unfortunately, there was no provision for unique barcode
labels at each site, and the to-be-imported tapes have the same barcodes

Hello All,
Don't know if this has been discussed already. I've gone back 10 pages with no
success.
Running 6.0MP4 on a W2K3 master server
My client is a W2K3 R2 server.
Ive set up my bpstart_notify.bat file with the following line:
net use M: \\server\sharname password /USER:domain name\user
I ran into this today. Make sure that the NetBackup Client service on
the media server logs on with a user with permissions to the share. If
it uses system to logon, it won't work.

The failed pretty regularly. The larger the catalog and the larger the
images, the more likely it is that a backup will fail. We gave up with
background processing but if you can squeak in a run every now and then
manually, you're probably better off thannothing. I can't remember the
