Greetings, We had similar problems backing up a group of Windows servers through a firewall. The the network traffic was so high that the connection would be closed by the windows client. I have a workaround (a regristry hack) that seems to work. If the box is UNIX, there may be parameter

The failed pretty regularly. The larger the catalog and the larger the images, the more likely it is that a backup will fail. We gave up with background processing but if you can squeak in a run every now and then manually, you're probably better off thannothing. I can't remember the exact
