Martin What sort of files are on here? Any AV running? Is tracker.exe running on the box? If so turn them both off? What about Network configuration - is this all set to max throughput and not auto / auto? Could be a Network related issue! You also mentioned VSS / VSP is turned off correct?

Admins, We have one 6.0 MP2 Master/Media server running on Solaris 10. The server has been running fine for a while (uptime: 19 days). I was running debug vxlog (level 6) logging. I also had the bplogs (open/netbackup/logs/bpxyz) cranked up to five but turned all that down to one yesterday.
