What sort of files are on here? Any AV running? Is tracker.exe running on
the box? If so turn them both off?
What about Network configuration - is this all set to max throughput and not
auto / auto? Could be a Network related issue! You also mentioned VSS / VSP
is turned off correct?

Netbackup uses a combination of Policy name and archive

not recognize that the jobs was already done.

Now that was my understanding! so really, I may as well kick off a
failed job within the SAME policy.
But can you kick off a STREAM rather than the whole lot? (job has
8 streams)

Greetings,
Has anyone else experience Status 84 errors after upgrading the firmware
on their ADIC i2000 to i4 (4.4.2 or 4.3.x)? We didn't have the problem
on i3, and it went away when we downgraded the version.
The other half of this equation is that along with the robot firmware,

So
will I be correct in my conclusion that with Ver 6.0 and MP2 in a complete Sun

But
can just create Disk Storage UNIT (DSU)?
If
this indeed is true than this really sucks! Maybe I can
I'm going through a sizing exercise right now and need to determine how
much data each full backup represents. Before re-inventing the wheel,
does anyone have any quick and dirty ways of accomplishing this?
Thanks,

Admins,
We have one 6.0 MP2 Master/Media server
running on Solaris 10. The server has been running fine for a while
(uptime: 19 days). I was running debug vxlog (level 6) logging. I also
had the bplogs (open/netbackup/logs/bpxyz) cranked up to five but turned
all that down to one yesterday.
The problem is, and I probably wasn't clear about this in my original
post, is that I need *unique* full backups. Some of our backup policies,
ie Oracle and Exchange, contain only full backup schedules. Something
like this will result in *all* fulls taken during a given time period.
Thanks for
I use bpimagelist and change the parms depending on what I need. You

an admin list on failures only. So instead of using USEMAIL in bp.conf,
which sends emails under any condition, I edited backup_exit_notify and
